Aww crap, noob mistake...or is it?

So i "thought" i followed all the steps correctly when innoculating.

I pull out my jars today ( a week later ) to check for any growth.  Nada, none, zilch, zip...not even a hint of a contam either. 

But, I think I know where i screwed up, I didn't let the jars cool fully before injection. 

My question is this, should i just let the jars sit for a while in the hopes that the mycelium will slowly grow from the spores that someone might have survived the warmer temps during innoculation? 

Or should i just order more spores? :frown:

FYI, i'm using a verm/BRF/millet mix in 1/2 pint jars if that matters.

Opinions, Suggestions, or Verbal Beatings for a noob?

Too hot is probably right. I would suggest getting a print and making your own syringes as it is much more cost effective but I don't think your ready for that if you have messed your first innoculations up. Wait to see if anything happens if you got the time. You will at least have to await new spores getting to you.

yea just wait it cant hurt and if you see myc you would have thanked us for telling you not to throw em out ') hehe yea get prints and make syringes

yeh be patient, you got nothing to lose.

little advice for next time though...

check out LC techniques. this will make your spores go 100xs further (at least). spores are expensive, learn LCs. they're easy to do, if you can do grain you outta be able to do LCs.
