Shroom Wizard tek = CRAP!

I'm a newbie grower that made the mistake of using SWGG. It sucks! Iwasted 4 months and 3 syringes on this damn thing. That pissed me off......
So I took the advice of some people here and switched to the MMGG (I should have just used it from the start). I preped my jars as well as sterilized them just a few hours ago. When my spores come in the mail (which is REAL soon) I will inoculate and hopefully have some success. I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks to those people who steered me in the right direction.
One final note : don't take the cheap way out when growing shrooms. Use a tek that's been tried, tested and true. Don't make the same mistake I did!
PS. No offence to the Wizard himself, but his tek blows.

I hear you, man. 4 months, ouch. I think the Shroomery should remove its link to that tek, too many of us newbies have wasted our time and money on it. If Bog in all his omnipotence could remove it from the 'net altogether, that would be better still.

Boy am I glad I never saw that tek. I probably would have tried it. I too think it should be removed. If it doesn't work and it is causing a lot of time and money loss in us newbies then it is doing more harm than good.

The tek could generaly be prodictive, but there is a not of sterile errors, unneceesary things, ... I'm sure it could be improved.. Oh, well, I'll try improving it, and post it on the shroomery. And then, other pipol could impprove it, etc, and at the end, I'l sure we will have the "KICK ASS SHROOMERY TEK"!!! author : the shroomery!!

i am using the tek and have had good success so far. my only problem was when i let them get too hot in the jars. put i have recovered and they are now in my platic bins and are starting to fruit very nicely:)
the tek does work but from what i hear he doesn't put enough info in there.....it is too basic

wht is everyone trying this tek? i have never seen it and %98 percent of its users fail! stick to pf tek, even the mmgg has some changes and its a little too advanced for the first timer. ive always used the substrate from the pf tek and the rest i got from trial and error (it took me a few months also to get my first shroom) but now i dont even half to go online every time i want to make my substrate, i just know what to use.

Anyway..... The tek you speak of is a perfectly viable Tek.
People have failed the tek, not the other way around.

I posted regarding the shroom wizard's tek earlier. My jars had just stopped growing but there was no contamination anywhere... so I came here on the shroomery and got my question answered. It turned out the tek had told me to tape over the holes after innoculation... but the problem was then they didn't get any air and the growth halted. However, I simply ripped the tape off and over the last four days the jars are rapidly growing. All but two have germinated and most are around 15-40% colonized. This is my first time and I read through about twenty teks including all the "time tested" ones. The Shroom Wizards Guide seemed nice and simple and I think it is as long as you're careful... but hey - i'm just talkin outta my ass since I ain't even done yet. Soon.... SOON... heheheheh
