If you're still unsure about what procedure went wrong when innoculating then try using a piece of cotton with alcohol, put the cotton piece above the hole then innoculate, so the needle goes by the cotton+alcohol before entering the jar.

Thanks for all the informative replies... I do remember the syringe getting stuck and drawing it back a hair to unstick it...... wonder if that could be the problem?.. anyways...I just got 2 new syringes from Sporeworks and going to knock some jars up tonight. I think I`ll try the inserting the needle through a piece of cotton soaked in alcohol before entry. that sounds like a good idea and i`m sure it couldn`t hurt. Thanks again for all the response

Yep.. I bet that's what did it..
I guess the reason why this wasn't all that obvious is because the newer cultivators have a HUGE fear of contams instilled in them from all that they hear about 'em.. When I got my syringe I was afraid to even TOUCH it, let alone use any moveable parts.. lol
