cyanescens...

Hey, i got ahold of some wet cyanescens today, i am unsure of the weight as of now, but they feel quite weighty. I would like to trip with my buddy, but i want to know (and i know this can't be answered very accuratley) if, in your opinion this looks like enough for two trippers to reach level 3 or 4. The things i read on cyanescens seem to vary a lot, and Id really like to get a strong trip going this weekend. For size reference other than my hand, the biggest one is 3 inches across the cap

That is definitely enough for two, but honestly they don't look like cyans to me.....

yeah, thats what i was thinking at first too, about the looks. But the caps are starting to dry out on top, and they change color, plus there is bluing, and the caps are wavy, gills are dark....definetly cyans, but thank you for the reply, I do hope to be tripping well this weekend

Let me tell you about eating wild mushrroms...........You do not eat a wild mushroom unless you are 100% sure, willing to die sure that this mushroom is an edible or a "poisonous" mushroom.. There are thousands of mushrooms and tons of look alikes, because a mushroom stains blue does not mean it is a psychadelic shroom... You need to know you area, know your mushrooms and know your spore prints, gill varieties, bulbous differences, on and on, I only says these things because this can be a deadly hobby and you are not only dealing with your own life but a friends......so be carefull identify and eat only with no doubt and even if you eat with full confidence save a small piece for identification just in case....Now go have fun.....

I take it your talking about psilocybe cyanescens - and id have to agree that they dont resemble cyanescens - even the gills seem like the wrong colour from the scan (wavy caps have sparse thick gills that tend towards grey rather than black)... Anyway, these guys are HIGHLY potent! Watch your arse man, i ate four grams dry of those and tripped SOOO fucking hard that i was off to Jupiter with the Devil by my side

yeah teh colors in my picture is off, its a little dark. I took a meager spore print and it was a dark purplish color. The gills are lighter than they appear in the picture, and there is bluing all over the stems and some on the caps. As far as the color of the caps this picture shows that same color for dried/drying caps http://www.erowid.org/plants/show_image.php3?image=mushrooms/psilocybe_cyanescens22.jpg I am getting them from a reliable person, and i appreciate your concerns

hey its kinda getting down to the wire here, they were partially dried and wighed up to 14 grams total, so how hard can i expected to trip (level wise) from seven semi dry semi wet grams?

like a bit of moisture, probably half wet, starting to dry out, bacically a half 1/8 dry each equivelant, but we are eating them fresh to avoid loss of potency

Yes i'd try the mushroom hunting and identification forum before eating those.
You might end up in the hospital getting a liver transplant.
