Right so heres the deal, i went shrrom picking today and we got a whole lot of this one kind and at first i thought they were Psilocybe cyanescens. But ive been doing my research and im seeing that the cyanesens' should turn a blueish/green when pinched. These mushrooms dont run blue, AND the stems arnt white, they are tannish brown. I live in the pacific northwest.. here's some photos of them. Can anyone help me?!!?[image] [/image][image] [/image][image] [/image]

Read the forum rules. And you will discover this is the wrong section to be putting ID's in.

dude.........
Those are not even close to cyans in every way, aside from whether they blue or not.
Put on your specs next time and dont eat those.
The closest active shroom they look like are gyms, and they are not gyms. Psi cyans....really?
Hunt more for information before you hunt for mushrooms to eat.
Those could not be more different that cyans unless you dipped them in red paint.
Good lord! And thank god for the shroomery. Lives depend on this place apparently.

So true. Quite sad. The shroomery saves lives at an exponential rate.

"droppa stones"
look it up.......
Thats the shape you see in some of those shrooms.
Those are a "no deal".
And ya, wrong forum.
Post that in the mushroom hunting forum and someone will be able to tell you what they are, and will probably be able to tell you what would have happened had you ate them.

I'm not an expert or anything close to what you'd find in the hunting forum but i do realize those don't look like it at all, maybe the color of the caps. None of those have purple spores so its obviously not psilocybe species, also all psilocybe mushrooms turn blue not just cyanescens. Thirdly they don't have the wavy cap or (like u mentioned the white stem) Those are most likely not active but let me warn you that depending on where you live there are very poisonous mushrooms that look just like cyanescens minus the wavy cap(harder to tell with younger mushrooms who haven't opened up) The poisonous ones grow on dead logs/branches as apposed to just grass. If i remember correctly i think they bruise blue as well but I'm not sure. definitely bring this to the hunting forum because they really know what they're talking about.
