Help Food Dehydrator

Does anybody know how to disable the heating element on this sunbeam dehydrator. It does not have a temp setting just on and off

i'd cut the wires to the heater part and if it didnt work after that take it back and get one that has a thermostat

get one at walmart that looks the same and put this one in the box and take it back and get your money back on the new one...... voila!...

it looks like you can just remove the wire to the coil (the center piece). just follow the white wire from the coil and pull it out of the little box thingy that distributes electricity.

if you happen to break it just use a fan for 24 hrs then to desiccant chamber. :smile:

Cut both wires going to the heating element and wire nut or tape the open ends supplying power to the heat element
Simple as pie and if that burns your house down i have liability insurance bubba, :smile: I work on heat cool stuff everyday  :wink:

Do exactly what Paw said, I have that same dehydrator. I cut the two wires going to the coil and wirenutted the hot ends of the wires and whala. Works great if they arent very big fruits theyll dry in two days easy. I usually end up having to snip the real big caps off the stems to get them to sit in the shallow trays correctly, but other than that it works perfect.
