LSD:I like to think in logical ways. Mind puzzles, some math, whats going on in the world, politics
shrooms:I like to think in totally illogical ways. What would an elephant and duck mix look like, Bunnys are furry, the sun is bright, how did this Aztec writing get on my wall?
LSD:I have a metallic taste in the back of my throat, like a ball bearing in my mouth
shrooms:I have a warm snotty taste in the back of my throat. No way to explain, just like a mixture of blood, snot, cream, sugar, mushrooms.
LSD:A bad trip usually involves me looking at how fucked up the world is and how fucked up I am in how I live
shrooms:A bad trip usually involves me forgetting how to act normally, what way to walk, what language to speak, what clothes go where, and then panicking because I really can't remember.
LSD:When I look in the mirror I see one ugly, dirty, disgusting mother fucker
shrooms:when I look in the mirror, I see a light aura around me but it doesn't look like me.
There is more, but that is all I can think of right now. Anyone else have some input of the differences?

LSD: Beatles, Floyd, Hendrix (top choices)
shrooms: Chill music, such as Bob Marley or Peter Tosh
LSD: I let my mind wander aimlessly, just going around the universe in totally illogical ways
shrooms: I talk about life, friendships, etc etc
LSD: Energy feeling in the back of my mouth
shrooms: No feeling
LSD: Haven't had a bad trip on it, so can't talk about that ...
shrooms: A bad trip just feels like being in hell, and forgetting about being normal, and that I'll ever be normal again
LSD: When I look in the mirror I just see a kaleidoscope, makes me feel beautiful
shrooms: When I look in the mirror I see my face become really old and ugly (wrinkly etc) Absolutely horrific, the higher the dose the worse it is
LSD: BEAUTIFUL, absolutely amazing animated visuals, I have never seen anything better in my life, ever. Absolutely endless variety, though quite often I see red dots around objects and a kaleidoscopic fractal "tree" when I close my eyes with red eyed cheschire cats abound ... I just can't think of anything better. Usually very realistic as well
shrooms: Often fairly boring, and only accompanying the feelings i am having, very repetitive, earthy but not too realistic, more like a cartoon, THICK, very solid, static, no animation, harsh black outlines (in a good way!), just altogether not as intense or enjoyable, on any dose
LSD: Could live in the world forever and NEVER get bored, because it is so endless and beautiful
shrooms: I get bored easily on shrooms unless I am talking about life with a buddy etc, i need to always be DOING something to have fun
LSD: Music usually MAKES the experience what it is, just too good to be true. Moments of eternity when listening to songs with heavy bass lines. Visuals often taking me to another world (literally) when listening to Beatles or Floyd.
shrooms: Music is a nice background, though not good loud or too prominent .. makes for a chiller time, without music it can feel weird and uncomfortable
LSD: Very easy come up, harsh come down
shrooms: Harsh come up, easy come down
LSD: AMAZING combination with weed, makes the trip more mellow but more intense (know what I mean?)
shrooms: Better without weed, weed just makes me feel stupid on the trip, and kind of obscures the trip
LSD: Confusing as fucking hell, simple things like a remote control or cd player become very hard but enjoyable tasks (i feel so proud after finally turning the tv on/cd, such an accomplishment  good for my tripping self esteem)
shrooms: Not as confusing (on lower doses) becomes more confusing than acid in higher doses and it is almost impossible to do anything around a full eighth, though tasks become frustrating as opposed to enjoyable
LSD: Red, green, blue and black dominate the trip visuals
shrooms: Usually more "earthy" tones as people call it, but when i close my eyes very bright thick colors like acid appear, though not nearly as intense
LSD: Not so lonely, very vibrant, inviting (on a good trip), like going into a crowded city filled with happy people
shrooms: Quite lonely and not attached feelings, even on a good trip, not always inviting, and extremely uninviting on higher doses, like going through a deep dark forest
LSD: Intense, endless euphoria; world cannot get any better
shrooms: Somewhat happy on good trips, feeling of goodness but little bad thoughts still float around
LSD: Feels "sinister" but in a funny way (unexplainable, just this intense feeling i associate with it that can be either fun or frightening)
shrooms: On high doses feels sinister, but on lower doses just calm
ummm that's all i can think of right now ...

acid:my mind feels shattered,nothing makes any sense
shrooms:my mind feels very far away from reality with everything making sense in a round-about way.
acid: my visuals are just WOW,everything flows into everything else,the colors bleed out of the wall and enter my head,i see everything at once,even whats behind me.i become one with the visuals.
shrooms:ive had the same experiance as above only once on shrooms.mostly everything goes "watery" and starts flowing into everything else.people tend to talk backward when im on shrooms.
acid:everything feels mechanical,visuals feel artificially produced as well as the whole experiance feeling like a fake way to veiw wat is real...did that make sense?
shrooms:feel complete natural,everything seems to be part of the earth and the experiance seems like the true way to veiw wats real.
acid:music is ESSENTIAL it becomes part of the visuals,you can feel the sounds and see the emotions that the music produces
shrooms:music is good,but u actually have to listen to the music for it to integrate itself into the experiance,usually it just ends up in the backround.tool is godly on mushrooms.
theres more i want to write but im to tired to continue right now.

Damn blue, you really don't like shrooms much do ya.
Well, I got reminded of something from you post.
LSD+weed:Very strong visuals after toking. Some of the strongest shit when mixed.
shrooms+weed:Calming, slows my trip down. No visuals but breathing all around me, a very relaxing mood.
LSD+nitrous:I laugh uncontrollably, rolling on the floor laughing.
shrooms+nitrous:I have a blank stare on my face as I am shot out of the galaxy for about a minute. Incredible flying feeling with total visuals all around.

ACID: Lasts 12 hours, tends to have an overall theme to the trip
Psilocybe mushrooms: Lasts 6 hours, little continuity in what is experienced while tripping

I totally agree, acid makes you want to jump around (for me I feel like moving around even more than MDMA) but on shrooms I am the laziest fuckin sloth ever ...
It isn't that I don't LIKE shrooms, I just tend to stress the negatives more just because I love acid so much more ... I will never turn down shrooms and would die to do them again, but I'll take acid over shrooms any day
at this point however the odds of getting acid are next to none  I'll take what I can get, and at this point all I can get is weed and research chemicals ...

LSD+sex:Very long and close. Especially the girl you are with is also tripping. Everything feel a lot better, but after a while, for me at least, everything started turning mechanical and automatic. Start losing the feeling of making love and it becomes, dick goes in, dick comes out, in, out, in , out, in, out. But coming is fantastic. Mindblowing orgasm that seems to last about a minute.
shrooms+sexAlso a closer experince with the one you are with. Does take longer, but not as long as LSD. Many mixed and strange emotions as you build toward climax. But hard to tell when you are coming. May not even be aware of it. Still able to hold an erection after orgasm. Very sweaty.

Did you mistype that or is it really that way for you? As far as im concerned I CANT sleep coming off acid, unless i get a little liqour in me. Shrooms I havent had any problems sleeping.

the earliest I have taken LSD is 9AM, and yet at 1AM at night, 16 hours later, I still couldn't sleep. I can never sleep on acid. Shrooms are a little easier to fall asleep on.

acid is next to impossible for me to sleep on (especially on 3 1/2 hits, when I was noticably coming down my friend wanted to go to sleep, yet I was trippin to hard to even get in bed ... i remember sitting in bed for over an hour while my friend was snoring right next to me, just trippin out, but not having fun) the moral of the story is, coming down of acid sucks, especially if your friend whom you are trippin with loves to go to sleep right after the peak, and take no time thinking about the trip

i fell asleep while having a bad acid trip once..it was the last thing i wanted..i laid in this lawn chair thinking that i was gonna die..then bam i woke up the next morning relieved that i made it through the night..it was crazy.

I can sleep well on high dosages of either acid or shrooms - i find shrooms easier - acid at large doses tend to give me that 'if you close your eyes your outta your body feeling' but i can still sleep fine...

I think the best explaination I've heard for the difference between mushrooms and acid is that both will take you to these strange and magical worlds or realities, but acid will leave you there to find your own way back, and mushrooms will be a guide through them, always bringing you back...whether that is true in practice for most people, I'm not sure...I've only done acid once, and it wasn't a lot...I do shrooms quite a bit, and that explaination has always been fairly close to true for my own experiences.

I haven't done shrooms, but I can relate to the quote. Acid is like you have a swim in the ocean, and let the waves take you out. Huge waves. then you have to swim in for yourself afterwards.
