Exactly, science ignores unexplainable personal experience.

This is my evidence. The millions of people with no need to lie, for centuries we have been experiencing these things.

As I said, the weight of evidence is the amount of people and the amount of time.

Sorry I don't have any links to hand but this has been reported by mankind ever since we could report.


This is what we are talking about here, its not quantifiable into proof by the current rules of science. That is all. That cannot be assumed to say there is no evidence that is ignorance.

Alright, dano. If that's sufficient evidence for you, then who's to say otherwise.

However, science and philosophical discussion doesn't work that way. If it did, then anyone could say anything at all, and that would be the end of the discussion. That's boring... that's what happens in church, not in a philosophy forum.

Science and philosophy are about testing truths. That means they get questioned ruthlessly. If the truth holds up under intense scrutiny, then it's tacitly accepted, but if and only if some new question doesn't come along in the future that clobbers its credibility.

You're looking for a place to make a statement that is true to you and have everyone accept it on faith. That isn't gonna happen here. That's not philosophy, and believing something that hasn't been scrutinized to see if it makes sense isn't spirituality either.

Trendal, science has failed.

It is corrupted. We have used science to create bombs, weapons and build machines that are destroying our Earth. I wouldn't call it successful.

Is this a logic we should adhere too?


Have we lost site of our humanity, our compasion for all life?

You said telepathy has been demonstrated in controlled conditions. I asked you to back that up eleven posts up from this one.

You have so far provided no references to the controlled studies where the demonstrations you claim exist are documented.

dano, if you think science has "failed"...pack up that PC you are using and take it back to the store. They obviously sold you a faulty product, as science has "failed" and thus cannot produce anything as complex as a modern computer. :rolleyes:

I have my own personal experiences too. I take it you would believe if enough evidence is presented to you (which it has been to me). Sorry, but I cannot present you with an undoubtable experience. In fact, your stern disbelief probably blocks you from ever seeing what is there.

Don't lump science and philosphy together, for me at least, they hold very different values.

I accept what your saying but I have seen enough evidence myself and so have many others thoughout history, we cannot convince you I know.

No I don't expect anybody to accept anything without question.

Howver, persistantly asking for proof when the very first post here explains WHY there is no proof, is not to me GOOD SCRUTINY or progress in an open forum

dano, dano... have you not read anything I've been saying?

I do not disbelieve that telepathy is a real phenomenon. Neither do I disbelieve that the Tooth Fairy exists.

I am neutral on both issues.

However, neither telepathy nor the Tooth Fairy have ever been in evidence in a controlled environment and until they are, I will remain neutral and continue to point out the fact that they have never been demonstrated.

That's it. That's the net sum of my position on both telepathy and the Tooth Fairy.

Please stop putting words in my mouth.
