Isn't that sweet hypocracy. Ice is "defending" Hue and swami by calling someone else defensive while not realizing he just muddied himself with his own mud.

hahahahahahaha

This post had nothing to do with flaws and perfection. If thats where anyone meant to take it they totally misunderstood it AND ran it off topic!

It's about the difference between how polarised and unpolarised balance serves us and what they mean.

Ice, why are you looking to stir up shit from me anyway? Ask and you shall recieve. Sorry thats all I have. It's not much bu here ya go. Take it.

Other people stirred up sweet warm stuff from me in PMs tonight. Funny how that works.

To each his own man!

Its bed time now and I am investing that time into sleep and my well being now instead of wasting it on who said what and whos right and wrong blah blah dicker drama. Ice, do you miss your tele or something?

Sweet dreams!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi dr,
i hope you understand, is not to look too deep
into your soul, or you might find a hideous, hopeless hole
of hatred, hunger, infinite, idiot, mindless, meaningsless
nothingness, nothingness, nothingness, nothingness, nothingness,
nothingness, nothingness, nothingness, nothingness, nothingness,
nothingness

I like some of this song. Although, the above was not what I found when I went deep. That all was still a layer above my deep. And there may be deeper yet.

Sorry, I'm lazy, so I skipped a lot of posts (re: all of them )... I'll read them in a bit, just woke up

But sure, we as comfort creatures naturally want whatever is good (re: subjectively beneficial to our supposedly 'separate-from-the-external' self) I mean it makes sense. Monkies like bananas, am I right?

But if you are talking in a philosophical nature about universal balance, such as abstractification of duality er something, something more Eastern in thought (though Western in translation)... then balance completely ignores subjective labels like 'good' and 'bad'.

Balance ultimately is the reason for dual opposites even existing in the first place. If you base perceptual labels purely on the spectrum of possibilities, than the average value of the possibilities is seen as linearly neutral. Let's say temperature. The air in this room is of varying kinetic energy (temperature) despite it seeming neutral and balanced as a whole. It's 'room temperature', right...

But certain fragments of the gases will be higher, and in an equal but opposite manner, others will be lower than this average. The average is the center of the possibilities, the neutral value, a balance between the dual possibilities of warmer and colder air. (kinda crappy example, forgive me ^_^)

So balance in a universal sense is just the average of all existence on some level or another. In Taoism, it would be akin to the great Tao, the unknowable essence of all existence.

So why strike balance with something that doesn't positively affect us? I mean it wouldn't make sense for the monkey to throw away some bananas for 'balance' obviously, but I don't think that's what's meant with the term...

To live in accord with nature, the Way (Tao), the Middle Path, 'balance', whatever.... basically means to accept the true behaviour of reality. All things decay and renew, this is a balance. Without death, no life can rise forth. Emptiness defines form, form define emptiness. This is a balance. To live without attachments to impermanent objects and ideals is balance, as it is in accord to the balanced way of the universe.

Ebb and flow. Ebb and flow. Give and take. Give and take. Cheese and crackers....

I know that you and many do not think that it is smart for the monkey to throw away half of the banana to balance it out. I know you don't think its smart to add half of somethings opposite to balance it out, like dirty water into your clean drinking water.

Keep reading here. There are people who DO see balance that way and I quoted one as an example.

I use to talk from that perspective sometimes when I would "forget".

Look at how many ways the word balance can be used or taken to mean.

I can balance out the water in my glass by taking half out, or add half dirt (oppositional balance) or I can just keep it clean and full and set it on a flat surface to keep it balanced.

looking at how the meaning of the word "balance" can be taken in 3 ways is worth looking at. It can serve us in 3 ways.

I'm not telling anyone what meaning to choose. I just posted this to raise awareness about a third choice of application.

Ebb and flow....shit in shit out........give and take.......shit in shit out cheese and crackers will be shit out.

Ebb and flow.....love in love out......give and take.....love in love out.....cheese and crackers........love them going in! mmmmmm

The above is another example of non polarized balance.
