Can the critics still deny that the geometry of matter is directly related to the harmonic interweaving of light itself? There is no substance, in the absolute sense. We live in a reality of un-reality; all is an illusion and the stuff that dreams are made of. Our physical world is nothing more than a resonating ball of light and shade."

Pink Floyd used to refer to their style as "Astronomy Rock." They were obsessed with space travel. Most of their early songs are on the subject of space.

when you're watching television the higher brain regions (like the midbrain and the neo-cortex) are shut down, and most activity shifts to the lower brain regions (like the limbic system). The right hemisphere is twice as active as the left, a neurological anomaly. The crossover from left to right releases a surge of the body?s natural opiates: endorphins, which include beta-endorphins and enkephalins. Endorphins are structurally identical to opium and its derivatives (morphine, codeine, heroin, etc.).After just 30 seconds of watching television the brain begins to produce alpha waves, which indicates torpid (almost comatose) rates of activity.

Also, check out a electronic act called SETI.  Some amazing space music.

As usual, I'm sharing some on Soulseek.

can't go wrong with Agnus Dei. it was used a bit in the game Homeworld. if you want a track that embodies "space", I can't think of a better one.

I second Ayreon.Into the Electric Castle and Flight of the Migrator are awesome space themed albums.
Also look for STAR ONE: SPACE METAL it is a side project of Arjen Lucassen(mastermind behind Ayreon)the songs on this album are all about Arjen's favorite si-fi TV shows/movies, like Alien, star wars,Dune,2001,etc.
