There is defenitely no predator for this thing. It's the only one of the species of seaweed that produces it's defensive toxins in such insanely high amounts. Nothing can eat this weed except that slug, and even then..it's a slug. This stuff clones itself and grows 1 inch a day.

This species is most interesting. From my research I have done, I have found that a strain was plucked from the ocean somewhere in the Pacific near the Americas where it lived in homeostasis with the ocean. The strain was used in aquariums as a decorative plant. Sadly, the French aquarium dumped some of it into the ocean off the cliffs where it resides. The strain flourished in the new habitat as an invasive species and has begun popping up all across the Meddit. Sea.

Sad fact of the day:

This man was in charge of the aquarium at the time that this species was introduced into the ocean.

I can get into all sorts of bad stuff he actually participated in. He was really alot like the Nazi scientists doing tests on Jews during WW2. He acquired more information on the ocean than anyone ever before, but so did the Nazis about the human body. Anyways, he isn't my hero and I love the ocean and diving more than anything.
