I also love both those records. I have children of God and World of Skin as separate cds though. I never saw the two packaged together like that. Plus, although it has the same members, my World of Skin cd doesn't have the name 'Swans' anywhere on it. I bought the cds back in the 80's or early 90's when I was in college. That's a cool looking double cd set.

I saw them live twice.

Have you heard their versions of 'Love Will Tear Us Apart'? Male and female vocals? That's some nice music.

those amazon clips really dont do them justice. The intro is only a tiny part of the song albeit important, they just dont give you much to work with.

Unfortunately, I didn't see them on the Children of God tour or before. The first time I saw them they were touring the album 'The Burning World', which is a good record but not so crushing like Children of God. Anyway, it was still really great. The vocals were very hypnotic and made me feel euphoric and other worldly.

The second time Michael Gyra lost his temper and started yelling at the crowd because everyone was talking during an acoustic number he was doing. I hate when people do that. If you just want to chat go somewhere else. Why go to a concert to talk.
