Robbie Robertson & the Red Road Ensemble - Music for the Native Americans Absolutely must-listen on shrooms - tribal chants and peyote-tinged visions spinning out of hypnotic music. Ghost Dance and Coyote Dance are two of the best songs I've ever heard. Alabama 3 (aka A3) - obscure British band best known for the theme to the Sopranos (Woke Up THis Morning - great song). They've done a bunch of great stuff. Self-described as "country-acid-house." Mao Tse Tung Said (the long version, with Jim Jones pestering an old lady - the U.S. import has a bullshit shortened version) is a fucking classic, "the best rant ever by a white man." Too Sick to Pray is also great, Mansion on the Hill, Sinking, too many to list. Hendrix's 1983 (a Merman I should turn to be...) the long instrumental section does it for me every time. California Guitar Trio (with Robert Fripp) - Bach's Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor. It takes three guitarists to do justice to Bach's masterpiece for organ. Epitaph by King Crimson. Hell, that whole first album is classic. Shit, I almost forgot - Up the Beach, Jane's Addiction The Ecstasy of Gold - Ennio Morricone Rubycon Parts I & II - Tangerine Dream What God Wants, Pt. 3 - Roger Waters
-------------------- Sarcasm just one of my many talents.

Soundmind, your audio tastes are always one step ahead of mine.
Thanks for posting everyone, I'm going to have an abundance of music to check out in the following weeks. I've already ordered at least a dozen albums that I previewed in mp3 form.

Well at least someone thought it was funny.
I was wondering what a guy had to do to get flamed around here. You guys are easygoing.
