Hey GRenade! Long time no talk mr! LOL! FRom what I understand, as long as things are white, or at least a pale yellow, shapes don't matter. but there are things like oxygen,
cake could possibly be contaminated and you don't see it, that would halt growth of your spores, some sneaky nasty contam... Well, dude! I am working on my first batch, was gonna start yesterday, but now, today IS the day!! Take care, and good luck...
By the way, you should just ( IMHO ) leave the jars be for another 14 days and try not to think about it :) Are you incubating your jars at all????
