big libs!

I found these libs today i thought some were rather large, these were found near sedro wooley, wa.

Are you sure they are libs? Lokks like some of them might be, but most look like Panneolus papiloneceus...spelling not right. I found a bunch of those too, spore print should be black on these, if I am not mistaken.

Those are liberty caps, Echo knows what libs are. Jthomas, you should actually pick some liberty caps perhaps, then maybe you too would know what the look like.

I've been strugling to find some. I don't think they grow where I live. But after seeing that picture I guess they can really vary. Give me one macroscopic constant between all of the varieties you have found. Maybe it'll help me.

Yes those are libs, i am positive just a big variety of them. Hey cardboard have you been out to lafette yet? there alot of blue ringers out there by the tree and lots of libs.

How do you guys pick a spot to find libs? Do you look for green grass or dead grass.

usually they are found in recently grazed fields by cattle, its a tall grass mostly green some brown.

Echo, i havent been out hunting semilanceata very much this year, i keep meaning to but i keep getting distracted by other species. If there are alot of those ringers up i guess i should prolly go out and get some pics. So on that note i will prolly go out there tomorrow.
