What do you feel about the thought of either one of your parents tripping?

1. Totally disgusts you
2. Bugs you out, but you can identify
3. Might even consider doing it with them
4. Know they do, but you wouldn't let them know
5. Know they do, you let them( in no uncertain terms)know that YOU know!

BTW, I have a 19 year old as well as another younger one.
Never done it while I was home or they were home and he doesn't know, nor would I ever let him know. The thought of him knowing would kill me!

Also, don't be surprised if you ever found out that your dad was a head too.

Well my parents would fucking flip. Not that it matters with how old I am now.

However my boyfriends parents are awesome. We actually hook his dad up.

both parents will share a joint from time to time.

i'm 25 and I trip w/my mom. I like that she like to trip, It makes it eaiser to do it at home where it's so much safer than going out and risking getting hurt, busted or having a bad trip. Christmas is coming up that is our favorite time of year to trip(christmas tree) she also like to (X) w/me and my older sister.I had to talk her into tripping w me, the last time she had done it she had a bad trip( saw a guy turn into a demon)it took me a long long time to convince her that we would have a good trip, but now we have been tripping with each other for about 5 years now, but of course we always have had an open honest relationship my mom always felt it was better for me to learn the truth about things and to make an informed decision based on the facts. this has helped me in life beacause I've never gone to the hard stuff like coke, crystal or smack. I don't care for them. I've also never been in trouble w/the law. all beacause I got to stay home and trip where it's safe Instead of having to go out and do things in secret like friends.I started tripping in 10th grade but it took a few years to talk my mom into doing it w/me, I think the last time she had tripped it was in the late 70's mabey early 80's.

I'm 22. My parents had friends over one time and they were going through an old photo album with them. There was a picture of my mother on a camping trip. she was wearing a t-shirt with shrooms on it. i didn't say anything, but my dad saw me looking at it and said "your mother was big into magic mushrooms back then". I'm not sure whether it was supposed to be a joke or not. I'm sure my parents don't do any drugs now, and i think it would be a little weird if they did

2 weekends ago, my mom and her fiancee(RIP) split an 1/8 of shrooms... He was a cool guy. He ate 7 spiderman's and we ate tye-dye on 4/20. He also ate some spidey with me and 2 of my friends on July 4th. He was a cool guy, and he'll be missed.

I would have to go with #3, although i must admit it would be a hell of a shock to find out my parents (the anti-stoners) were suddenly willing to try hallucinogens with me...

I would say I would be incomfortable with the idea... Both my parrents have done it in the past and my step-dad (dad for 20 years now) used to do it ALOT, even went to woodstock.. But I couldnt do that with them..
I have been high around my parrents when they were high but have never gotn high with them. I have triped on acid and shrooms at home and they have seen me go through all types of drugs in my life and have been real good about it but still I could not do any drugs with them...

To this day I still have only said one swear word in front of my parrents and that was because of some toung twister my cousin made me try when I was like 8. And I rarely drink with them....

I would do it with my parents no question. Then I wouldnt have to worry about being secretive. Thats the worst part about doing drugs. Having to sneak around... I hate it... cant wait to move out...

I don't think I could ever be comfortable tripping (or doing any drug) with my parents. We just don't have that kind of relationship.

I know that my parents both smoke mad weed, (esp my pa) but I know they don't do shrooms/acid anymore. My mom said she has done shrooms twice and she had a scary ass trip after eating a hole shit load of them that they picked in a cowfield when she was visiting my aunt in Florida. I love sharing stories with my mom and I wish I could have that kind of relationship with my dad also. I have a really open relationship with my mom and she knows about the different things I have done. My dad on the other hand never seemed to want a relationship with me.
I think I could prolly smoke a doobie with them, but since they aren't into hallucinating anymore I dunno if I could. I did tell my mom more about them and she seemed pretty interested in what I had to say. I am hoping to actually ask my parents permission to trip at home because as other people have described above, there is much less chance of a bad trip or getting hurt when you can trip at home.

Good to see all the honest responses to this poll. Maybe I could have thought the choices through a little bit better.

Naturally my parents knew that I got high. All my friends used to hang out at my house and smoke. Guess they felt it was better that they knew where I was, in a way.

I never got high with either of them. One of my friends did though. We smoked with his mom once. Kinda bugged me out, though she was very cool about it.

Keep your heart tuned to what's important TO your parents and you'll find that you will all get along better, even if they are somewhat against your lifestyle.

my parents assume that i have tried marijuana (i know this because the subject came up when my parents were up in oregon visiting my sister and her husband and they told me about it) but little do they know i've smoked almost daily for two years... although i have cut back as of late.  i'm pretty sure i could tell my mom everything that i've done and she would not have too big of a problem with it, although i'm sure she'd still be concerned about me.  my dad on the other hand would be pissed off, and i don't really know why.

he came home once a year or so ago right after me and my gf had smoked and we got everything put away when we saw him comin in the driveway, but he could still smell it and told us: "you guys have been smokin' grass out here!" :smile:... hehe, it always cracks me up.  looking back on the situation i wish i woulda just explained that i had and that i do smoke, but i was so shocked that he just busted in like that and i think i got a little paranoid so i pawned if off as menthol cigarettes (and since he didn't know what they were and my gf had a pack that she left on the table in my room he believed it).  anyways, i'm really tossed up on whether or not i think my parents should try the magic mushies, but i guess i'm leaning towards yes... esp in my dads case because he seems so closed minded - however i don't know if i feel comfortable at this time to trip with them, mainly because i haven't talked to them extensively about the subject.  i'd need to know more about how they felt about me doing it and what their feelings about trying it would be.

i would definetly trip with my dad if he still did...i know he used to...he knows that i smoke and drink but he dosen't know that i trip. i even asked him if he wanted to smoke with me after he found out and we talked about it...but with my mom...no.
my friend's mom wanted to shroom with me after she found out i shroomed the previous day! i thought that was kind of funny

My dad is great, we get along like brothers. He was always into that sort of thing. He has smoked pot daily since he was 15 (hes 41). I've been smoking with him since I was 16 (I'm 18). He was really excited about the idea of doing shrooms again since he hasnt had any in about 20 years. It is really hard to find any good drugs in my city except for weed. When he came to visit me at college, he even brought be a huge bag of vermiculite since I cant get it here. My stepmother has never done them, and she woudl probably flip out if she knew I was growing them, but when I show up at christmas with a big baggie full of them, she'll be down with eating them with me and my dad. My aunt wants to buy several ounces to sell to her customers(she sells weed to friends and family) since shrooms are an oddity where I live. My mom would freak out and yell at me, if i didnt have more dirt on her than she des on me. She wont say anything about me smoking pot or doing shrooms b/c shes into speed and she has an idea that i may know, so she lets me be. :)
Bullfrog- Talk with your kid, if hes that old, he woudl understand if you did, assuming he is ok with drugs in general. It may wierd him out at first, but it'll pass.

GabbaDj I know exactly how you feel. I am the same way. I wish I could trip with my parents, but they are so anti-drug there is just no way. We hardly communicate as it is...But I think it would be just too weird to do something like that. I mean, I have drunk alcohol around them, but since this is "socially acceptable", it really doesn't count. My parents are too grounded in reality to ever trip. Especially my mom since she is the church-type. It's the same way with my brothers. Some of them "know" I have done weed but that's it. I have never admitted it though. Oh well, it's still possible to trip with them, who knows....

My mom told me about how she once dated a doctor, and she conned him into giving her ketamine. She said it was a really intense experience, but coming down she started sweating really heavily and her heart rate went up which freaked him out.. and she felt bad about putting him in that situation and never used any other drugs since then. She has only gotten drunk twice, never when she had kids, hell, she won't even drink alcohol in front of me. My mom and I are really open about everything though. One day we were listening to some pink floyd in the car, and I told her about all the acid they used and so on. She thinks I'm like the smartest guy in the world for some reason, and when I told her what acid really did to you.. she was telling me she actually wanted to try it, lol. But, in the state of mind shes in I definately wouldn't let her do it. So, to answer the question, tripping with my mom would be cool, but just not right now. Maybe in the future though!

As for your kids... I'm 19 now, if you are really open about everything with them, you should talk them about it. I don't know what your son is like or anything... but if he were me, I would have nothing against it.

Wow you have the coolest dad in the world.

I'd love to trip with my parents but I just don't see it happening. I was thinking about bringing it up with my mother since she's into a lot of spiritual new-age stuff but I know she's never done drugs before and I'm not sure how she'd react.
