Cleaning before a trip........necessary..

I definitely have to give the bathrooms a once over b4 I trip. Just a straightening up too around the abode makes for a more organized trip. Nothing worse than having to pray to a nasty porcelain thrown if one get the queezies.
I also find myself looking and staring in the most peculiar places while I'm inside.
A swept floor and a bed that's made helps too. Don't get me wrong, I ain't miss good f***cking housekeeper of the year, but nothing drives me crazier than a damn shithole. Especially whilst flying.

Anyone else as freakin nuts as me?

I try to organize things so that everything is handy that i might need. if i am not at home i try to put wallet keys and cellphone somewhere where they are safe and i can't lose them. i seem to lose shit if i have it on me.

When I'm high, if my place is messy thats the only thing I can think about sometimes... its like I dewell on it and cant let it go how messy I've let it become.

I usually clean up before I trip also so I dont get that way.

indeed. and a great tip! i always enjoy myself better when i'm in a nice environment. heh, one time last summer, i even went as far as putting one of those foldable "L.A. Co. Public Works" orange/white barriers that i stole off the roadside in front of a hanging wall clock in my hallway with a warning sign on it (since my friend pete flew right into it whence we had tripped before at my place )

And I thought I was the only cleanliness freak around!!
I love to start with a clean.. done up place.. even though my room's ALWAYS a mess by the end of a trip!!

And yes.. I always seem to lose my zippo on a trip.. especially everytime i've got a spliff ready..! Anybody have a zippo jinx on trips..? Or should we just put it under Murphy's Law..?;-)

dude! i los THE coolest zippo on my first trip. it was a real zippo...not a fake one. and it had this kick ass design on it. me and friends were passing it around mindlessly all night just checking it out. like we would be outside and it would get passed around. then we would be inside...it would get passed around. every where we went it got passed around and then it got lossed ......but not just that one, allllll my lighters get lossed.....jinxed.

I find cleanliness enhances a trip and filth detracts from it. A pre-trip cleaning is always worthwhile IMO.

I never tripped at home, I allways go out. But I used to clean the whole house before, because I don' t like to find a mess when I come home.
Once I tripped at a friends house. This house is not messed, it is ANARCHY! First we sat out in her wild-romantic garden (a real jungle), but then it got cold and she said we should go inside. I didn' t like to walk into this house even if I was sober.
This house was filled with all kinds of deadwoods and half-broken antiquities. Scary! But I still went inside and ...it wasn' t that bad! It was rather interesting to look at all these things. That doesn' t mean I would like to live that way, I still clean up nearly to much. But if the mess is in somebody elses place, it doesn' t disturb me no more.

a clean home = a clean mind = a good trip!

straightening up the house so that everything looks nice and generally pleasing to the eye before you trip is a must!

I have to clean my place up before a trip. Not only to make finding stuff easier, but I know I'll do more damage in 8 hours of tripping than in 8 days of "normal" life. So might as well start witha clean slate. Also gotta shave and shower, otherwise it feels like my skin is crawling.

The way i look at it, you have to have the right kinda of atmosphere to have a good trip. Alot of times places being dirty will annoy you (atleast for me it does). I find that things being nice and clean enhances my experiance.

a clean house definitely makes for a good trip, but this post reminded me once of a trip i had, where i was trying to find my friends lighter, which was believed to be in my car. now my house is always pretty clean, but my car is another story....lol i had SO much fun cleaning out my car, finding all sorts of things i thought i had lost..... never found the lighter though! :grin:

I try to clean up the pad if thats where I'll be a flyin'. It sucks to be concentrating on various hairs and dust bunnies when there is so much more to behold. I also like to take a nice shit shower n shave before as well to get the good vibes flowing. Nice clean clothes. I also get my tunes in order so I don't spend too much time trying to sort through possibilities when I'm not coherent. Lastly I remove all dangerous items to a safe haven at my neighbors house. I'm kind of a gun nut and I know that the possibility of me fuckin around with my small arsenal while in an altered state is real. Safety first!

For visuals, a messy, dirty house can present a lot of interesting stuff to look at...
