krazy kat peekin' thru a lace bandana like a one-eyed cheshire like a diamond-eye jack a leaf of all colors plays a golden string fiddle to a doule-e waterfall over my back
yup, there is nothing like a grateful dead concert... it's like 30,000 of your best friends getting together for an evening of fun... ... did ya hear about the time that mythologist joseph campbell was taken to a dead concert? he stated categorically that this was the american dionysian religious gathering... ~

old 60s/70s poster, w color pic of mushroom cloud & caption:
when the bomb goes off, make sure you're higher than the bomb...
~
any of you other old farts remember "duck & cover" ? i remember bomb drills at puritas public school on the west side of cleveland (maybe 4th grade?); we all had to crowd into the cloak room together (musta been the time of the cuban missle crisis, maybe '62/'63ish... my dad had a gov't publication on how to cobble together a fallout shelter out of a wooden door & some sandbags... kennedy doing "brinksmanship" diplomacy with kruschev... "ich bin ein berliner" jack & "we will bury you" nikita...
what a world, what a world...
ashes, ashes all fall down...
contemplating megadeaths as part of national security...
"mr president --- mein fuhrer --- i can walk!!!" & synchronicity buffs saying that dr hoffman's lsd wasn't psychdelic in '39 because controlled atomic fusion hadn't been demonstrated yet; but in '43, well, a wild bicycle ride in neutral switzerland after the test dosing... becuse the atomic vibes were permeating the noosphere, catalyzing the magic molecule for human testing...
seems sorta farfetched to me, hehheh...

Yes it's a little far fetched to think it wasn't active until 43. However I think it's more than coincidence that it was discovered in a period of time that was the darkest in human history.
Mabey the "Big Whatever" didn't think we got bad enough to need it until 43, hence Dr. Hoffmans "striking presentment to whip up another batch, even though Sandoz had no interest in it.
