SALVIA SWIMMERS & OBLIVION
    #4359146 - 07/01/05 12:50 PM (12 years, 14 hours ago)

The short duration of the salvia experience may be all that saved me from a long future history of embarrassment and excuses after my utterly enjoyable but freaky five minute foray to level five in the family room with my wife as sitter this morning.

All I have been indulging in for over a week has been oral sub-threshold augmentation by chewing fallen leaves from my salvia plant, and while plane traveling, chewing on just a few salvia impregnated papers which would have wasted around 60 smoked sessions like today. It has been all sub threshold, barely philosophical, and have I been overworked, let me tell you!

So I had been earlier today cutting up a few papers to smokable sizes to put in my jar for storage and convenient use later, and I took off some oversized ends and corners of a few pieces that looked too big. & I put 4 of those tiny pieces in my one-hitter chillum and finally flamed it up ? inhaled, held?

Ahem,

There must be some mistake!

All those cut pieces must be way too big if 4 tiny ends are this strong, hmmm, I should never eyeball these paper cuttings.

The swimmers on my blue t-shirt quickly swam off and filled the room, and I was happy to see that and to be familiar with the visual frame stacking that lets that happen.

I began to write but soon found I could not even scrawl.

Apparently, as I then got up, I asked for help several times. The people in paintings on the wall were witnesses to all that transpired. My sitter gave me some bottled water, which was great but could not allay the feeling of extreme flatness. She asked if I wanted to lie down on the bed, I guess I tried that in the next room for a moment but preferred the floor, she asked if she could help me, and I told her to put her hand inside my chest and scrape it flat (my shirt really is too small and I have some sore muscles that seem to go from back to front ? residual tension from airline travel?).

By that point I was on the floor looking up, very far-gone, just barely certain of what might be consensual and what was not. The now verse, or key moment that might be a page from many, was flat, and I was trying to get flatter to fit more comfortably into the now.
I knew that was absurd.
What was inside of my chest was bothering me in that flattening process. (I am sure it was a kinked muscle in my back ? I still have it)

What was bothering me more, however, was what my wife-sitter was thinking, and how she was considering me. To her at this juncture I seemed like an alcoholic.

I got back to my couch found the water, the pen and book and started piecing it all together, perspiration dripping, and embarrasment waning.

An hour and a half later after reading a book on the sunny back porch for most of that time everything still feels pretty creamy.

(yeah, I like it.)

damn... yeah salvia is crazy... I like to take it on occasion but it really makes me uneasy cause I feel like I'm doing something terribly wrong or it's just unnerving. I do it anyway cause it makes me curious that I can feel so uneasy, maybe ego loss. comin out of it I really feel like I have to become reaquainted with the world.

great report greenred

not actually a blotter, the way I make a full cigarette paper
it ends up aaving ~50-70 smoked sessions on it (22-24 mg salvinorin)
I keep the cut pieces in a tiny jar as shown in my kit.
premeasured and easier to smoke than real salvia.

thanks for checking in.

Great report!

The first time I smoked was with an ex-girlfriend and I felt like a two-dimensional vibration, like a vibrating "plane",  entered my body and divided me into two different parts.  It kept pivoting around like a board hanging from a string would.  I did a lot of weird leaning at that point.  Then her plaid bed-spread became a living, rolling valley that I was looking down upon from a hill made of the same "fabric".  I jumped up, tore my shirt off and was sweating like Hell.  It was pretty cool, but like you said, the short duration saved me from who knows what.  Needless to say, she didn't want to try it after that....

Have you ever felt this type of vibration also, Redgreenvines?

Has anyone?

For some people, it is a frightening risk. To me, that's the psychedelic experience."

I had a vibrational experience on mushrooms... I heard a sound that was so low in frequency it was below what I perceived to be the human range of hearing but it shook me almost into a convulsion, sounded like (or felt like) a really low resonance frequency. I felt like if I listened to it any longer I would shatter into a million pieces :slider:

vibration of noticing the world -chang chang chang chang.
vibration of visual buildup, singles to series to wall paper of cartoons
and
oscillation like you describe yes, yes between affirmation and panic or
between glee and shame
between assessing and effusing.

so did you "impregnate" the paper, similar to the blotter "dip" method..

IE: crystal,mixed with "-------" and panned,dipped.....

just curious,I've extracted salvia down to the crystal, and it just sits, and i just stare at it,haha.....

you don't have to go into any detail ,of course .if this is your "secret method" then keep it secret....

not like blotter:

dissolve a known amount in acetone
like 20mg salvinorin in a tablespoon of acetone or so.

take a single cigarette paper on a non absorbant surface (I make a net of tooth floss to suspend the cigarette paper so active stuff does not wick away)

and over 20 minutes using a dropper keep wetting the cigarette paper and letting it dry evenly as possible. (you can blow it dry)

flip it in between drippings if you like, reflatten when it curls but avoid overhandling.

later cut up into 40-60 pieces for single doses depending on your hard or soft headedness or body weight.

The paper idea is an awesome idea... about how much salvia foilage would be needed to make one paper? Just a rough guess as to where to start experimenting, I've received a pamphlet with my extract once that had instructions for extracting but no starting point. I don't want a paper equal to 80x and I don't want to waste an ounce or two of leaves for nothing.

Could you chew a few small peices of paper to get the effects of chewing leaves? Drop some salvia lol..

I think you need to add some alcohol into the mix if you want to get effect from chewing papers.

chewing papers with or without alcohol is disappointing.
the good effect comes with a rapid transfer to the blood which only seems to work well accross the massive lung surface. mouth and gut expose only a small fraction of absorption surface that the lungs do, and the lungs expose all that surface all at once.
I have posted on that variance in the Salvia facts and myths thread ( http://tinyurl.com/cp9yt )
in the end, to get decent effects
you have to chew 20-50 times the amount that you would smoke and that becomes wasteful to me.
