Large scale production

I've had some success growing some small flushes (casing). Can anyone recommend a good method of mid to large scale production (all in a corner of a studio apartment)?
Of course this is all hypothetical.

Large scale= being able to produce 20+ dried grams/flush.
I don't know if that's large scale, it is for me

which book? I have Stamets' "The Mushroom Cultivator, but some of it is just not practical for me.
I guess I'm also asking if any kits like the Magic Kit would be worth the investment

First of all buy equipment and build your own setup. Kits are pretty much bunk. Bad quality pieces at high prices plus teks that force you to buy forever from the suppliers. This is a great place to shop setup designs

My iguanna's friend always does this. He has 40 DOZEN jars going at any given time. Pretty much 2 hours of every day are spent tending to it. What I would do if you're serious about mass growing is to start out with 5 dozen jars, see if you can handle that and then go with a couple more. Get about 6-8lbs of brown rice, 5 Sterlite or Rubbermaid tubs, and a big bag of vermiculite, and a 10qt or larger pressure cooker. That should get you started nicely.

Filter patch bags and wheat straw or compost will help you get this done right
For the same price as that many jars you get 3X's that in bags with less contams and faster colonization.

For large scale growing you definitely want to stick with jars.Bags are far too problematic, many moisture build-up problems. Also jars stand up better to repeated pressure cooking than bags do. Just my opinion though.

oh shit... you arent serious about large scale AND pf tek substrate, right? i have a hard time believing youve got 480 jars of pf tek (well, any jars of that quantity) running at the same time... or that youre still sticking to perlite and only a 10 qt pc if you have that many jars.
im not advocating large scale grow ops, but thats either really unrealistic or really a huge waste of time.

Fridges are good, I;ve got one that I'm planning to use for frogs, literally. I don't have the doors anymore (it's a modified side by side). If you do this, be careful. You have to totally gut it, and that's not fun. I know freeon isn't good for you, and I scared myself with that shit when it sprung a leak and started spraying out in my backyard. I soaked the grass with the water hose for hours where it was running after that (I tried to let it evaporate first so I didn't wash it into the ground). I didn't let my dog out there for about a week, took her out on a leesh all the time. I let it stand outside for a few days before hauling it into my room (the possible effects of this still worry me). But it's perfect as a terrarium, extremely perfect in fact.
