shrooms from contam - final answer?

so i've seen plenty of posts about shrooms growing from contaminated sources...i'm starting my first batch here and 1 of 8 jars i just noticed has a small bit of the green coming on. i've put it aside and plan on putting it somewhere outside. _if_ shrooms do manage to grow from a discarded cake outdoors are the shrooms safe to eat? I've never seen a solid answer and would really like to know once and for all. Anyone have any solid information?

There can be no solid answer. However, I would gess it to be safer than eating shrooms from a cow pie.

An issue like this always boils down to personal judgment. I always say if you're not sure, then don't eat. If you've got a bunch of jars, just pitch the bad one.

At best, you'll have a good time. Or, you could get very sick or worse.
