I fasted all weekend
    #4185630 -

No water or food or human contact.. I did it in the woods near the sweat lodge I attend, it was hard-core. I ate a small chunk of a cap that I found on my bed before I went, and the whole weekend I kept having crazy dreams and vision.. It sure feels good to be alive today! And have water and food! I just wanted to say that there's nothing like going without to make you glad for what you have...

Right on! It's a good feeling to clean out the cobwebs from time to time. Fasting is very powerful. I have gone 19 days, and after the 15th, I felt like I was on some mild dose of shrooms or XTC. :mushroom2:

Good for you. Whenever I journey, I try to fast a while. I read in a book by Beautiful Painted Arrow, Being and Vibration, that the great spirit rewards those who fast. Traditions like that have been handed down for centuries. Don't quote me on that, but I think it's true.

You know, I've been in social isolation a lot of times.
It helps me to get back to myself and be at peace with myself, after all if I am not in contact with myself, then I am not living, because It is always me, in the begining, in the end, and every night I go to sleep or shut up in the day.

Allthought social isolation can bring insecurity later to some people, if done with a proper mindset it can have a total oposite effect.

I tend to be compleatly relaxed, detached, and woryless in human company after spending some time in isolation, and am less anxsious then I used to be.

There is a great quote from Lost in Translation (beautifull film by the way), it goes something like this:
the more you know about yourself less things can worry you, and that is so true

I command your very souls you unbelievers
Bring before me what is mine
