Sports On Mushrooms

Last year I played racquetball when under the influence of about 3 grams of potent home-grown PF strain. Wasn't planning on playing, but got a call from a bud inviting me and I said, "What the hell!" as the courts were within walking distance. Everything was quite funny and disorienting at first, but I played exceptionally well, almost like magic. BTW, we are both "B" tournament-level players. So this was not some smack-the-ball-and-see-where-it-goes session, but highly competitive. I took every game easily and was not winded.

My point is: This is contrary to most all reports of lethargy and impaired motor coordination. Most likely, another level higher and I would have been unable to play, but was at around a level three.

Anyone else have similar experiences?

Ive never done sports on muchrooms. but i ususally goto P.E in school after i smoke a fewl bowls.. i dont have any energy but i have madd skills comapred to when im not stoned. but ill sweat like hell cause i walk 5 feet and it like running a marathon cause i get real tired when i smoke.

I LOVE shroomin when playing sports... I just cant sit down and trip I have to be active and Ive found that on mushrooms I dont feel fatigue at all. I can do whatever for however long and wont even break a sweat and when Im done I feel as if I can do it all over again. When Im sober I tend to have to push myself through the last part of a bicycle race of the last few miles of hikeing but on shrooms I finish feeling like I never started...

One time i went to lacrosse practice trippin on lsd thats like shrooms but i was more zoned out cause it was when i was coming down. It was a day off from school but we still had practice. It was fun though. The ball would make the longest trails and everythign was just nuts.

Of course let's no forget the story of Dock Ellis, the pro-baseball player dropping two hits of LSD on his day off. As he starts coming up, his wife says to him, "Honey, don't you have to pitch today?" He jumps up checks his schedule and goes,"Oh, fuck." as he confirms it. Then Dock gets his buzzed butt over to the field and suits up, all the while thinking,"There is no way in hell I can play."

Everything is a chaos of rippling color and pulsing sound. His first few pitches are wild and out of control, then he starts to tune into the thoughts of the batters and the nuance of their position. He rips the ball and steers it with his energy. He gets totally into the zone and controls the entire defensive game.

When all is done, he pitched a no hitter!

Unbelieveable, but alledgedly true. The reference for this
story was on the Lycaeum, but no longer exisits.

Yeah sports are cool on not too big doses of shrooms. On a little bit higer doese rave parties are cool, and on the highest druming in a nature is the best..if you can drum :)

If you think that Ralph is a cool guy, or even worse, that you support him, than you are an idiot. But from another point of view you are all good people sometimes

I realize this post is very old, but afoaf had the EXACT same experience last Saturday and had to search through the posts. My buddy calls and asks if my friend wanted to play racquetball and before going he eats 0.5 g of some cubes which had just finished drying to see if it would affect his playing at all - this was on an empty stomach. He felt the effects before getting onto the court, but as soon as they started playing he was on top of his game both physically and mentally. It was fucking awesome! He was hitting shots out the back corners like a professional... He could see angles on off the walls which were not apparent to him before, and his serve was unstoppable! On top of that, he played 4 physically intense games right after another and never got winded or fatigued. Granted, he was worried about dehydration so he drank plenty of fluids in between matches, but during the rounds and afterwards everything was just glowing and felt great. He highly recommends a low level of mushies (0.5 - 1.0 grams) taken before playing sports.

I played lacrosse twice on the come up. It was fun, but I know if it was during the peak I wouldn't have been able to do it. I play goal, and I played with some of the best people around who went on to play D1 and high level D2 and 3, so this also wasn't just any dicking around, I had to play hard.
I definitely found it fun, but tracers started coming on so I had to have my back up go in for the rest of the practice, because saving one ball is hard enough, I couldn't save 10.

I've also played ping pong during the peak of a level 4 trip, and that was crazy. Insane tracers on everything, I started getting a kind of tunnel vision, and like stuff started turning kind of, like if I was playing a video game and someone picked up the TV and started rotating it slowly. That was more casual, my trip sitter was just hitting around with me, and I couldn't really return the ball more than once or twice, but that was one of the funnest things I've ever done on shrooms I think.

I wonder how many "sports on psychedelics" threads there have been since then.

Ive seen alot....I know that.

back in high school i took a half 1/8 of mushies before my last football game and played an awesome game. i was so in focus and was in good shape at the time and it felt like i never could get tired. i could see the plays unfolding in such a different perspective it was just amazing. it was something i really wish i tried more.

Im sure football can be amazing under those circumstances.
Though I wouldnt waist my psychedelic time with something as simple as football. To each his/her own............
