So you don't fall into the Libertarian category?

How does what I said indicate that? I think I do.

So, now we have a new word. I have no idea what this means.

Ya... the 88 don't care about evidence, they're just left/liberal fucks that wish to waste peoples times and their own. Great outlook.

 Do you expect something to debunk? Wait till your favorite administration responds (if it does) their will be plenty of debunking.

I agree with your views on faith, I'm merely suggesting that someone that posts from S&P isn't automatically less rational then someone who posts in here.

Clicked that link twice.  Both times my computer got jammed up and shutoff my browser (Mozilla).  I aint clicking again.

Not automatic, but I have no fucking idea what he is talkng about.  Typically, you actually have to explain yourself here.  I await his clarification.

While the Iraq war may be unjustified and a travesty, this document is nothing more than the result of the same old, tired election day propaganda.

Quote:
We write because of troubling revelations in the Sunday London Times apparently confirming that the United States and Great Britain had secretly agreed to attack Iraq in the summer of 2002, well before the invasion and before you even sought Congressional authority to engage in military action.

First of all, I would hope that the US and the UK agreed to go to war before the war actually started. It would also make sense that the UK would agree to go along before approval for the war was sought.

As for the "secret" part..unless the discussions were carried out live on worldwide TV as they happened, you should expect a period between the actual discussions and the release of information which, might i add, happened well before the war started. The letter seems to infer that the war started and then we were all shocked to find out the UK was also involved. That simply wasn't the case and everyone knows it.

The fact is that it is election time in Britain and as we saw during the 2004 elections, anything goes.

It is seen as a very effective strategy for those who agreed to the war on the pretense of the same international intelligence as Bush and Blair to turn around and act as though it had never happened and it was all fabricated by their respective political opponents. Apparently the British learned nothing from our 2004 elections.

See I take that as Bush sought allies for a war before he had even gone to Congress for authority. And he carried out these talks with Britain in secret without talking to Congress.

Don't quite understand this little bit of nonsense from an S&P refugee.

The reason there is a blank line between the two sentences is because they have nothing to do with one another. If they had had, I'd have seperated them by a space (" ").
My question was related to the initial post. How does your government lying to you affect your faith in (support for, if you will) in your government's ability to protect the world from harm?
The question is asked because faith in a government directly relates to what it can use as justification for its actions (if it claims to be democratically appointed, that is).
In turn, if the American people lose faith in their government's right and expertise in interfering with foreign affairs, that should have consequences for said government.

Don't claim what someone says is nonsense afore you know what they mean.

I check out S&P a good bit. Too much navel gazing. And the "reasoning" there is mostly not very rigorous. I still have no fucking idea what Alan was talking about. I don't do faith. And I don't know about protecting the world. If there's a killer asteroid coming I sure aint gonna ask the Hopi to do a prayer of deflection, if that's what he's talking about.
