Enslaved fans sound off!
    #4014630 -

the new album ISA looks to be very good.i've downloaded ISA,Return to Yggdrasil,Lunar Force,Ascencion and i love them.Enslaved is probably the best band coming out of Norway.love their fusion of extreme metal with the more psychedelic/experimental influences.if you are into metal and have not hear Enslaved you are doing yourself a diservice.

yeah enslaved is pretty good, but not my first choice when it comes to black metal though.
Do you have Emperor - Anthems to the welkin at dusk ? I bet you'll love it!
Also Covenant - Nexus Polaris is awesome. Those Are probably the most 'psychedelic' blackmetal albums I own.

The enslaved Albums I have are Eld and Blodhemn I think but I suppose their newer material is completely different.

yeah i have Anthems and Nexus Polaris.both are great albums.old Enslaved is good black metal but from Madraum and beyond has ventured into new territory and cannot truly be called black metal anymore.

yeah, Enslaved are probably the most original Norwegian BM band in that they're not really BM (anymore at least). I haven't listened to ISA much so far but was pretty impressed with Below the Lights and can hear more developed BtL stylings in ISA. I doubt anything they do will top Eld for me, though. I love the Viking theme reminiscent of Bathory's Hammerheart era. with and after Blodhemn, they went from BM/Viking into a really great experimental direction. Enslaved haven't released a bad album imo. amazing stuff. nice to see someone mention them and not solely another Norwegian BM band whose name also starts with an E.
