miranda rights question?

do the cops have to read your minors miranda rights if there arresting a minor?

The police don't have to read miranda rights to anyone being arrested. Miranda rights are only required to be read if the police are going to question you.

Specifically when you are being questioned in custody. If you are down at the station, for example, of your own free will and are making a voluntary statement they do not have to read you the miranda warning. Similary if you make what is referred to as an "excited utterance" or spontaneous confession, the police do not have to stop you and read you your rights.

This is why any good cop will not read you miranda until they personally are going to question you in custody.
