spore prints

hi there,
what is the best way to keep spore prints. cause i sent in a day or two ago to the fsr and was wondering the best way to preserve the print. should i just leave it intact in envelope and throw it in my mini fridge until im ready to use it or what? also what do you all think of using a eye dropper in place of a syringe? would it work?

you can keep them in the fridge or at room temps til youre ready to use them.

an eye dropper has a few setbacks... cant really be pressure cooked (most have those plastic bobby things that wouldmelt during sterilization); you couldnt use it in pf jars (but on agar or even if you lifted the lid of a quart jar in sterile conditions it should be okay); no accurate measurement of the amount of water in the dropper, unless you are using only drops then it wouldnt matter; youd have to sterilize the water seperately from the dropper (as it cant be pressure cooked in it).

you could manage it though- but syringes are only 1$ from most vendors.
