Alright, I found mushrooms that look exactly like this growing on a hill side, are they worth picking?
It was a while ago but I'm sure they will be sprouting up soon though. so if you need more info. I'll get it to you then.
I thought these where poisonous though. I'm not sure but active?

Don't tear me up if I forgot to add something, please. I think they are Amanita Muscaria?

For us to help with an ID, we would need photos and descriptions.. If you say that they look like the one in the pic then theres a chance it is muscaria. Bring some back some, study them, and take photos if you can. Muscaria is listed as poisonous in most books, however people do use them to produce psychedelic effects. Lots of people have bad experiences and poisoning like symptoms with them.

A. muscaria as seen in your posted image grow int he fall months around birch and pine. They are not a spring shroom and are usually gone before the snowfall.

On the contrary. A. Muscaria definitely _does_ fruit in the spring, at least, it does so in Europe.

So, i'm really confused about this mushroom. it's poisonous but some people still eat them?
Ummm, is it a like, "well i'm going to eat this, maybe i'll trip or maybe i'll get sick, and possibly die"

Fatalities are rare, but there have been some from eating Amanita muscaria. The usual symptoms are not ones most people would choose to experience. The most common ones are:

Nausea and vomiting
Confusion, delirium
Incoordination, dizziness
Alternation between lethargy and euphoric, manic behavior
Progressive deep, comalike sleep
Hallucinations, visual distortions

There have been a few reports by people who had pleasant experiences. The vast majority of reports have described a very unpleasant experience. I have personally spoken with over 50 people who have tried these mushrooms. All but one have said they would never do it again.

My best guess as to why some people still want to eat them is that they've heard the pleasant reports, ignored the unpleasant ones, and decided that they're desperate enough to get high that they'll try it.

If you decide that you just have to try them, start with a small dose. Fatalities involve large dosages. Seizures are a symptom to watch for - if you have one, get to an emergency room.

Happy mushrooming!

This mushroom dosn't have the same chemical that makes you trip. If your new to it I would suggest Psyclob(sp?). A. muscuria is very powerfull so don't mess around iwth it unless you know what your doing.

Amanita pantherina are quite common right now, though. I've seen them popping up in quite a few places and they look -slightly- similar.
Peace

And deadly too boot.
