Thinking about this has made me curious, as it conflicts with my practice.
We learnt about the Yin/Yang balance of the chakras, the three upper chakras being the yin, the lower yang and the Heart chakra is to maintain the balance between the upper & lower. The link being, the base chakra is the yang partner of the crown(yin), they balance each other out and are dependent on each other, seeing, our spirituallity and materiality balance each other...,sacral is brows partner etc..
Looking over these, it doesnt make sense to me that you see some peoples crown chakras are open but the base is underactive. How i see it is if the yangs out , the yin partner is going to be out?
Ive really confused myself now lol, i know what im getting at :P
I suppose we do have to take heed that the sub-chakras, may not have been intergrated into this test, maybe.hmmm..

Well, since *for most people* how they answer any question is dependent upon the mood of the individual while answering, this test would only serve to show a "snapshot" in time....    I am *pretty sure* if the questions were the same, but worded differently, and you made 7 different tests like this one, your answers *might* proove to be different every day of the week....

So maybe the better test would be to answer these 7 "tests" (one per day) and see how consistant the answers are....  At least, it would proove or dis-proove stability in one's mood....   

OR,

Take the "tests" when one *THINKS* he/she is in a better or worse mood than the previous time taking the "test"....

I just did the test, and it totally put me out of balance.

Now I want to rip the wallpaper off my walls, the sudden urge to shit all over the floor just grabbed my nuts, and I'm feeling rushes of musclecramps all over my body! ... which by the way, I feel like dipping in gasoline and lighting on fire just to sacrifice myself to some sick and twisted deity that has nothing at all to do with chakras and buying fucking books by new age hippie dildos with no clue about anything besides making a shitload of money preaching about happyness and gentle living bent down to reach your toes spreading your anus to the bystanders playing turn-based role-playing volcano-inflamed ninja-tycoon right on the inside of your rectal orofice and I should get a fucking award for best long sentance without punctuations or comma and I rock and I've surfed maddox bestpageintheuniverse way to long and I should fucking die for sucking so much crap up into my brain and spewing it back into a forum that has nothing to do with my blind and absolute hatred and rage towards everything in the world that breathes!!

Well, the problem is, you're describing a situation in which a person is in balance. Most people aren't in balance... so their yin and their yang are not equal.

If they were in perfect balance, you would see this precise correlation between yin and yang like you've described.

I mean... here we are on a shroom site, and it seems that most people are "top-heavy" so to speak... which makes perfect sense, because many people who use a lot of psychedelics end up more detached from the real world (ie, under-active grounding chakras) and usually have their head in the clouds (ie, over-active upper chakras.)

That make any sense?

When the Navel chakra is under-active, you tend to be passive and indecisive. You're probably timid and don't get what you want.
Low-Sacral
If you tend to be stiff and unemotional or have a "poker face," the Sacral chakra is under-active. You're not very open to people.

Accroding to that, my third eye is open, infact, its more open then the rest of my chakras.

Root: under-active (-31%)
Sacral: open (13%)
Navel: open (13%)
Heart: open (19%)
Throat: open (50%)
Third Eye: open (63%)
Crown: open (50%)

It seems, I am stuck in my head, and not conected well enough to my body. :frown:

1 - Root chakra
The Root chakra is about being physically there and feeling at home in situations. If it is open, you feel grounded, stable and secure. You don't unnecessarily distrust people. You feel present in the here and now and connected to your physical body. You feel you have sufficient territory.

If you tend to be fearful or nervous, your Root chakra is probably under-active. You'd easily feel unwelcome.

If this chakra is over-active, you may be very materialistic and greedy. You're probably obsessed with being secure and resist change.

in response to jacques and fireworks: i strongly disagree.....im in very good physical shape from my legs to my back to my stomach and arms..yet the first four of the chakras on my test were under-active so.....i would say that there is no connection between the two.

but thats just me:smirk:

The weird thing for me personally is that for years I have FELT the Third Eye chakra, and wondered what was going on. I feel like I literally have an open eye in the middle of my forehead! I cannot see with it, but it sometimes feels fully open, and often only half open.

Usually I feel this when I am reading a deep and interesting piece of text, or trying to understand some deeper meaning in something. I feel it completely open now, and have done for a number of days.

Any ideas what's going on with my forehead??!

It's interesting that the three most commonly under-active (according to this thread's poll results) are root, sacral, and navel.  I felt before I took the test that this would be the case for me.  Ironically, these three constellations of motivation probably have the greatest hold over me most of the time, but they are the least "open" because they are the most vulnerable areas, the most difficult (in my opinion) to accept fully and incorporate into one's being....lust, craving, desire for power and comfort, etc., are all aspects of myself that I have trouble accepting and opening up to.

The root, sacral, and navel chakras are the ones which govern most of the average person's behavior during the course of the average day, I think.  Yet a friend of mine who is a longtime Reiki practitioner told me that her teacher's most common difficulty is in opening up people's lower chakra energies, really releasing all the pent-up energy there that has been suppressed and denied: the more animal aspects of our motivations.
