Here's a funny angle on this...

I have some major posture and spinal strength problems due to an accident I was in when I was 15... I slacked off on the rehab and ended up not fully redeveloping everywhere I should have.

This undeveloped state + daily life = the weak muscles end up not getting used, while the stronger muscles take on double the work to make up for it. (it's almost like my body's sensory awareness stopped acknowledging the weak parts... like I just can't "feel" certain areas...)

This, in turn, developed into a major physical tension problem that relates directly to a lack of direct spinal support in certain KEY spots in my spinal support column.

Now here's the funny part...

The spots in my spinal support column that I have the most trouble keeping active (ie, supporting my weight) directly coincide with what this test says are my underactive chakras.

This all links in with my current digestive problems, from which I've been suffering for over a year... I've come to believe they are probably a result of tension in the wrong muscles at the wrong time, basically.

I only mention that part because the primary problem I have could very accurately be described as a lack of "awareness" or "presence" in the physical location of the root chakra... therefore an inability to relax tension from that area. (You can imagine what kind of problems that might lead to... I'll spare you the details.)

I was considering the same correlation between the location of these chakras and their activity, and the physical body itself, specifically, one's posture....

For instance, my navel chakra is said to be underactive, which is basically the whole stomach area, and my stomach and lower back muscles aren't that well developed (yet :wink:), which means I have trouble properly supporting my back and chest, holding them in proper alignment....

Which, of course, means that it takes more effort from my neck and shoulder muscles to hold my head up in its rightful position, as my upper back and chest aren't in proper alignment... which is about the location of my overactive throat chakra....

Crazy stuff that demands further investigation. :grin:

Yeah man, that's what I'm saying... it's all one thing, physical, metaphysical, mental... just man-made subdivisions of the whole that is our human make up. I think there is WAAAAAY more connection between these different subdivisions than most people would like to believe.

I think it points to another flaw in the test, as suspossedly (according to what the website itself and people here have said), chakras are only overactive when others are underactive..... :confused:

Im not sure this means much, as genrally if your heart chakra is open, then all other chakra become more or less balanced. But i do feel a blockage sometimes in my sacral region  :rolleyes:

No no, that's not so. All can be open and balanced with just one, over active or under active. What happens over time is that and over active or under active one that is not being  rebalanced out ends up throwing another chakra off balance.

So when I see two or more, I start looking to see what one may be compensating for in the other. You can even reverse your situation FW. You can say that early on, you learned your voice to feel power and that eliminated a need to act in many cases to feel it. So, your throat could have gone off balance first which then set the solar plexus off balance from lack of use. You stopped drawing energy in through it as much and your throat vortices's is drawing in an over abundance.

Sometimes, two or more that are off balance can be for completely separate reasons. You have to look at the full nature of their function and what they support and then look at yourself and life and see where you can make the corrections for re balancing them yourself.

If anyone is interested in this, this book kicks serious ass! I refer to it often and it explains it all so well and in simple terms and depth. The Sevenfold Journey-Reclaiming Mind, Body & Spirit Through the Chakras. by Anodea Judith & Selene Vega.

I will copy a quickie of the functions.

1......deals with survival and the right to have

2......deals with sexuality and emotions and the right to feel

3......deals with power and energy and the right to act

4......deals with love and the right to love and be loved

5......deals with sound and the right to speak

6......deals with intuition and the right to see clearly

7......deals with understanding and the right to know

Hey FW, it just dawned on because you are so into creating music, sound, that could be another reason why the throat is over and the solar under. The imbalance may be how you spend your time between creating sound through your music and other of lifes needs or an imabalance of creating the music but not acting on getting it out there to the masses. Just a thought if you are concerned about bringing in more balance and opennings for better energy flow.

Very interesting how this fits with the bit I posted about my spine and physical sense of balance--how it seems like my stronger muscles started compensating for weak muscles, whicn in turn compounded the problems by allowing the weaker muscles to get even weaker while the strong muscles ended up working too much and introduced the monster of physical tension and anxiety I have to deal with on a day to day basis now...

The work book I recommended may be worth the buy to then. Its $17.00 288 pages with photos for demonstrating different physical exercises for helping to open and balance the chakras. considering you ditched on your physical therapy a bit back, these exercises are gentle and may help a lot both with rebalancing the energy and physical body.

There is way to much information in it for me to share here of interest and aid. The book is well written, easy to understand and work with packed with insight for better understanding of how all of this works.

I cheat sometimes with these from www.harmonyera.com To know the feeling of having them all tweaked out to perfection if just for a day or two is something else. I don't want to rely on them like a crutch and just used them a lot in the beginning to correct some majorly fucked ones and to know what it feels like to have them open and balanced to better catch when they start going out of whack. 

I've been lazy with it all lately to busy working on activating additional chakras into play, like new transformers to bring in more power to the smaller ones so I don't blow out and fry my nervous system when I rev  her up to fly. Speaking of, everyone drink more water when you are running energy. It burns up quickly.

I think my 3rd and 5th are fucked again. My 3rd is the most prone to weakness since I quit working to stay at home with Arielle and my 5th can go bezerkas a result to feel productive in a community environment, evidenced by my long winded posts.

I think I will put some maintenance focus on them this week.  :tongue:

Perhaps though I was mucking around - I know of the chakras, and their relevance; as well as their age. I'm interested in the reaction in the thread.

Perhaps I didn't like what the test told me. I shouldn't get upset about it like you say. However I felt great aversion to it and in my anger I needed to decry the test. I can't believe I am like that! That's horrible.

Perhaps the reading was wrong. Perhaps a pc with 56 questions on a scale point answer system, questions that can be vague or ambiguous and without one's true option, offers only so much. Not enough, not as much as a person who understands the concept and the energetics and can speak to you and get a good understanding of you before giving a reading.

Perhaps I'm overcautious and think someone is always trying to make money out of me - you wouldn't believe the spiritual tricksters out there. A lot of them rely on ancient and respectable systems of energetics/religion/spirituality for the base of their conjouring.

Well thats cool, 4 IS my "favorite" number....  :smile:  Anyway, I do talk a lot, and even at work I am crackin jokes pretty much anytime ANYBODY slips-up and says something that can be taken out of context - but not so much as I pounce on it, I just subtly make light of what was said to the others around me....  :grin:    Just realizing what was said is enough to make a bunch of immature middle aged guys "enjoy" other people's NON-QUIET phone conversations....  :evil:  The people in my immediate cubical area all have a good time....    It makes the crappy parts of work go a lot faster when people are always laughing, and all making others laugh....

6 - Third Eye chakra
The Third Eye chakra is about insight and visualisation. When it is open, you have a good intuition. You may tend to fantasize.

If it is under-active, you're not very good at thinking for yourself, and you may tend to rely on authorities. You may be rigid in your thinking, relying on beliefs too much. You might even get confused easily.

This one is WAY off, and could not be further from reality....    The only thing I am confused about is my beliefs and spirituality....  I don't have "dreams", which I think was the first question....  I don't get enough sleep to dream, or I just don't remember them.....    And i have been pretty much thinking for myself since I was 17....  Half my life ago - I certainly am not a follower nor need someone to "think" for me....??    :lol:    :shiftyeyes:

The Throat Chakra is about self-expression and talking. When it is open, you have no problems expressing yourself, and you might be doing so as an artist.

If this chakra is over-active, you tend to speak too much, usually to domineer and keep people at a distance. You're a bad listener if this is the case.

Don't agree at all with the only choice for having an overactive Throat-Chakra as being a negative....  There is definately a time to listen....  WHAT did you say.....?  :what:  I just think that the creativeness that encompasses my life is just to overwhelming for this test....  :lol:  :shrug:

Everything else is about what I would *expect*....  Mostly close to 50%, I would consider myself to be average anyway, so it fits....    :smile:
