When Chakras go out of whack
    #1936750 - 09/21/03 01:49 AM (13 years, 2 months ago)

It's happened to us all.. for me, my crown chakra was the first to open and activate, followed by the pineal/third eye and throat. Heart remained closed for a long while, which created an imbalance. Solar plexus was doing pretty good, and I had much willpower, but the sacrum and root were not grounded. This created a disturbance in the whole of the etheric body, which in turn the physical and mental.

Grounding is important to do, because you must start with the root. The chakras function as a complete system, so if one of them is closed off or spinning improperly, it can create a disturbance in all of them.

The root must be grounded with the Earth for best results of the chakra system, it encompasses security, survival, trust, in the present. The sacrum is under the navel and is concerned with food and sex and emotion. The solar plexus which is associated with the ego, perceptions of power, control, freedom..mental activity. The heart is the center, the radiant sun which is our perception of love, relationships.. Throat chakra deals with communication issues, the aspects of expressing and receiving..artistic expression even. The brow chakra or third eye is esp.. the spirit's eye.. The crown chakra at the top of the head is our sense of unity, empathy, perceptions of unity and separation, the level of the soul.

Understanding all of your chakras and how they function in your life is critical. Through them, you can learn much about yourself, and how to overcome your life challenges with perhaps a lot more clarity and balance.

The Kundalini is the coiled energy lying at the base of the chakras. When it is released, it will weave through the chakras in order, from the root.. out of the crown.. into a fine celestial mist.. which will rain down on your body over time and be absorbed. If there are blocks in the chakras, it can throw the kundalini way off balance, and when it evaporates over your head, instead of reverting to anti-matter in the air, it will absorb into your body first and then begin healing..which can prove to be a very painful process for the entity undergoing it. The healthier the kundalini and chakras, the better you feel. If the chakras are open and spinning and balanced, and you release healthy kundalini through greased chakras, then the downpour will be much blissful capiche?

It is a delicate learning process. You can 'blow out' chakras by overexerting them, as in unhealthy obsessions and such.. remember, properly functioning, they are balanced spinning disks of energy. When one is closed off we will have instability in that particular area, or complete lack of function.

Your chakras are just as much a part of your body/soul unit as are your bones, muscles, tendons, nerves, veins, organs, bioelectricity and brain! They are the mediators of the two, and keep our spirit in harmony with our physical body.

Keep the chakras clear, healthy, and free flowing. It feels great!

I hate to say that I don't understand them or anything at all.. where should I go to learn about this? I have heard about chakras before, but nothing in-depth... is yoga used to activate them?

Thanks for the words, man!
Peace.

Here are some good links to get you familiar with the chakra system

http://www.sacredcenters.com/chakras.html
http://www.crystalinks.com/chakras.html
http://calmness.com/chakras.htm
http://www.healer.ch/Chakras-e.html

There are literally thousands of chakras throughout the body, as best known through the chinese art of acupressure, acupuncture, dim mak, and pressure points. But most literature focuses on the seven main chakras running from the base of the spine to the top of the head. We also have seven more spiritual chakras above the crown, these are the chakras of our higher self.

Yoga is one method of activating them, yes. That is a very helpful tool. Qigong is similarly very helpful.

For a good read about cleansing and activating your chakra system, I suggest reading this - http://www.mkprojects.com/fa_CleansingAndEnergizing.htm

Are chakras related to lymph nodes in any way?

Just started checking out the links, but I figured I would ask in case I didn't come across it..
Peace.

I believe the energy system is very closely related to the endocrine system, but to what extent I'm not entirely sure.

How is this close to Reiki?

A person really close to me is doing her master, she just finished it a couples of days ago.

How related are these, and by finishig her masters what does it mean?

Yes. The chakras are related to everything.
Each chakra is associated with an endocrine gland. This is taught in Reiki.

Crown - Pineal
Third eye - Pituitary
Throat - Thyroid
Heart - Thymus
Solar Plexus - Pancreas
Sacral - Gonads
Root - Adrenals

Similarly, all chakras are parallel to health concerns. A lymph node problem would be an off-balance (likely closed) throat chakra. Swollen would probably mean a blow-out of the throat chakra.

Here is a good link for the connection between the chakras and the endocrine system

Reiki is centered around healing the body on every level.. physical, emotional, spiritual. A master of Reiki must have a thorough understanding of all of its principles and practices, including a complete understanding and knowledge of the Chakras.

I just found an awesome site for Reiki and the Chakras.
Best and most thorough explanation of the chakras I have found so far in one resource.

http://www.web-design-identities.com/Reiki/chakra.htm

I don't claim to be the master on this subject.. which is why I throw out all these links. Others have already explained it better than I could hope to.

that isn't that great of a website by the way the sacrel and root chakra are different for men and women, the base or root chakra are the gonads for male but the sacral is sexual organs for females
here is a better website on how to do reiki and another on chakra system
