That is an opinion isn't it?

Good question Zeke as I have been meaning to ask the forum what is the difference between a belief and opinion anyway? Don't we all have preferences for certain ideals we believe are serving us one way or the other based on what we want and feel we deserve and want out of life or how we "believe" life should best be lived and conducted?

People who say they do not live by beliefs/opinions and feelings, all regarding preferences are full of self delusion.

To believe its best not to have beliefs is a belief.

To believe in God is a belief. To not believe in a God is a belief. To believe you don't know if there is or isn't is a belief.

You were on the money with this question Zeke!

I want to go look up the difference between a belief and opinion in the dictionary because last I checked , they meant the same thing and we all have them, shit loads of them.

There's no escaping it. Its how we create our day, as its what we make choices and decisions by. That's why , the sooner people realize that the sooner they can start making better choices about what beliefs and opinions they are making daily decisions with, creating their lives and realities with.

I believe I am hungry....  Or, is that an opinion....?    HHhhmmmm....

No, wait....
I just got information from my tummy, it's growling at me now....  Yep, it wants sum food for sure....

Soooo, my tummy seems to believe it is hungry....  Or, is that an opinion...?  HHHhhmmmm.....
(How do you know if your tummy is telling the truth...?)

If you want to take it to its extremes, perception is an opinion.

Re: Opinions of the Secret "TuMMy Society".... [Re: SneezingPenis]

Is it the perception of my tummy, or my perception of my tummy's perception....?  It is my theory that my tummy's beliefs are based on some sort of logical opinions, but I don't necessarily believe in my tummy's beliefs, as they seem like empty thoughts and ulcered with holes....  Sometimes even fear and aching....  PLUS, I can never understand the whole "growling for food" language....  *Seems* kinda~ selfish to me....  It especially seems selfish when I do listen to my tummy and its "need" for food, and then it goes and gets sore at me for feeding it something it doesn't like....    NOT cool at all....  :shake:

I wonder if my tummy talks to other's tummys, and maybe I don't even realize it....???    A secret "Tummy Society"...?

The whole "Butterfly Effect" is kinda~ creepy too....  HHhhhmmmmm.....    :what:

I haven't digested it all yet, but food for thought....

>^;;^<

dude, you're blowing my mind. literally.

jiggy: we all have [opinions and/or beliefs], shit loads of them.

I'll say. the tricky part is, when you let a belief do the thinking for you. or, indeed, the perceiving. because our perceptions are coloured (marred, tainted) to at least some degree by our opinions and beliefs, right? so to varying degrees, when we approach reality, we look at it through the distorting lens of our beliefs. this is useful, I think, for getting things accomplished (which we'll assume is Good for argument's sake). but it reduces variety.
