it is too lengthy and it starts in error - i.e.
buddhism is not a method to control anything:

in face sangsara (suffering) one takes up the 8-fold path
this is a way of making things better - one sees suffering and so begins.

AKA the middle way.

Not about mind control, more about the cultivation of right mind-set and setting in the face of sangsara.

I think most people go about their lives with the intentions of living forever.

I also feel that style is one of the most important things in life. If ultimatly, people are judged by their actions, then style is doubly important, since style defines their actions.

I dunno what to say dude, that was quite the load you tyed up there. I agree with some points, on people trying to find their answers in books and scriptures and history, when perhaps they need to harness what they have inside them first.

Perhaps people just dont know how to digest what you have to offer...?

Buddhism has methods for controlling our minds, i think you misunderstand what i mean by control. Natural control occurs when we begin to follow the eight fold path.

Essentially through meditation we begin to observe the mind, that in itself is natural control, becuase we are no longer habitually reacting to our thoughts and emotions, instead we are just observing the rise and fall of them, without entering into judgement and action.

But yes i agree it is a bit too long. Next time ill keep it shorter. :sun:

Yeah, I like that! A (interfaith) chaplain told me that I have very buddhist beliefs and that, "You certainly draw off of many differant religious systems." I told him that I basically draw truth from lies and try to live with Love (compassion comes with that) and wisdom.

I like your ideas! it is a very nice technique to sort of coerce people into being more open-minded. Like you said, everyone has feelings, everyone can apply a thought-base like this to their lives. Although once certain people know where these ideas came from, they might definitely shun it. I guess this could really just be the basis for most religions, in plain english. As you mentioned, many people get caught up in the history, etc. From what I've seen, most people want to believe so intensely in the doctrine, that they will never think on their own, which is what many major religions want. Also, not many people like or tolerate being wrong, so they obviously don't want some random guy to come along and ask them if their religion makes them happy, when it doesn't.

when seeing or keeping still
one appears to be in control
one appears not in "uncontroled" movement.

but control is a poor choice of words, cultivate
is better, more like gardening, less like a martial art.

then again "seeing" is a castaneda word
one can be open to that.
"keeping still" is a taoist term or i-ching term
all are related i am sure.
