 Controlling your energy

I was flipping through the tv stations today and i came across one of those tv evangalists shows. You know the ones, where they have the people up on the stage and the preacher touches their forehead and they pass out. Do you think that these preachers have learned how to harness their energy and pass it on to another body? This could explain the passing out.

They rarely actually pass out, and when they do it's a psychosomatic response to the situation...
Those that are healed at this kind of ceremony find it was only temporary, due to thier own power of belief, not that of the preacher.
There exist individuals with the power to heal by the laying on of hands, regardless of the faith of the subject.
But you won't find them on TBN.

It is certainly possible to control energy and pass energy to other people for healing. I have been working with energy healing for 2 years. There are many different techniques for healing, but I'm extremely sceptical about the success of the healers you are talking about. It all seems like a load of hype to me. Having said that though, the only way to properly judge them would be to look at their success rates

Taoist masters in Tai Chi, experts of empty force can LITERALLY manipulate and control energy (chi).
Tibetan Buddhist masters can melt snow, raise their body temperatures, and masters of Inner Fire meditation (another form of energy manipulation).
As for TV Evengelists, they're fakes and a bunch of charlatans that know zippo about energies.

A few years back my mother threw her back out very badly... The regular chriopracters(sp) couldn't help her and so my aunt told her about one of those channeling healers. My mom wen tto him and he never touched her once, he only waved the "bad energy" away from her back and you know what, it fixed it. Her back was perfectly fine and still is to this day. I dunno if this is at all related to what you were talkinag about but it seems like it =P

Tai Chi is a discipline of Chi Kung (Qi-Gong). Another discipline is Nei Dan, which focuses specifically on the manipulation of Chi energies. I have personally seen Chi Kung masters influence the movements of animals, 'burst' holes in couds, and perform a number of other 'supernatural' feats. A number of extremely interesting scientific experiments have been carried out on Chi Kung masters, where they have been able to influence random number generatiors and other electronic equipmet, but in general the scientific community refuse to recognise these experiments, but do not give reasons why.

I work with healing energies through a technique called Reiki (Which basically translates to Universal Life Force Energy). It works on the principle that all illnesses and problems (Physical, Emotional and Spiritual) are caused by an imbalace or blockage in Chi energy in the patient. The healer channels chi energy into the patient, which balances the energies and helps the patient recover.
When he was waving the 'bad energy' away, he was either cleansing your mothers Aura, as energy knots can occur in a persons aura, or he was scanning the levels of chi across your mother to find any areas that were out of balance.
