I've never "given energy" to anyone - in the way you imply, but I have focused my energy(chi, whatever) into a ball between my hands. It caused my hands to feel repelled from each other.
I could have been fooling myself though (I added this bit specialy for you Swami )

I eagerly await for you to "power me up" and blow my tiny skeptic mind. Afterwards I will post my incredible experience here for all to read.

I used to give batteries to friends with toys that needed them during Christmas. Does that count?
Nice to see you posting. If I tease it's because I like you.

i wonder if there are a few ways to draw energy. i guess after reading celestine prophecy i sometimes view relationships in terms of 'is there a drainage of energy?' from one person to another, or is energy being created thru love and beauty. the book mentions 3 games humans play with each other to draw energy from others, 'the poor me' character, the antagonist and the enigmatic, mysterious dude. by assuming such roles one tries to draw attention to oneself, the more attention the more energy, i guess politicians and pop stars are good examples of people getting a buzz of being the center of attention, keep in mind money is a form of highly compressed energy too. so if you wanna play - become a whiny, sickly, sad little thing or some kind've arrogant bossy ass, or grow your hair long, be wasted all the time ..... and talk about energy.

But one must believe and practice it.
Only in the realm of non-existent metaphysical powers must one believe for it to "work". In all other endeavors, proper practice alone will suffice.

Is it not somewhat pathological to base your life view on a work of fiction, whether it be Star Trek, Winnie the Pooh or the Celestine Prophecy? Why do people often view someone as being more wise than themselves simply because they got published? I have never understood this. (excepting fields that require actual study, discipline, experience, etc.)

Feel better now? Should I have listed several hundred thousand names here? What else did I leave off?

I cured a girl's hiccups once with my magical powers.
She didn't have to believe, I didn't even tell her what I was doing.

Hiccups normally end without outside influence. I congratulate you on deluding yourself oh powerful magi. Now if you "gave" her an orgasm, she might be more impressed - and you wouldn't even have to tell her what you were doing.
