Is green mold the end of a tray?

I know this should be in contams, just can't wait . . .
I woke up this morning to a few splotches of green mold on one of my two trays. VERY upsetting. All I could figure to do was scoop out the green spots with a spoon.
Is this definitely the end for the tray? Is there a chance of the mold spreading to the other tray (not showing anything but white) a few inches away?

yes there is absolutely a chance of it spreading.

segregate the healthy one from the other.

Crud, I've only got 1 terrarium . . . no other place in the house, really, to put the other tray. I am afraid its way too hot outside- high today here is 96.
Any ideas on what to do with it to separate sufficiently? So far, the green is not showing back, but I know it could.
