a dream "anomaly"

Last night I had a strange dream phenomenon, I'll describe it here, and if anyone had similar experiences let me know..
I fell to sleep and was haviong this casual relaxed chaotic dreaming, until in one moment everything focused around some character, I think it was a man just standing there, and suddenly the whole dreamy environment started to change into some kind of different state, it's like waking up, things start becoming more and more real, detailed and realistic, and the mans face become so real that it frightened me as I realized he is waching me, and I woke up in some shock. It was accompanied with a buzzy sound that become louder and more scairy as the dream was transforming into that fixed reality.
It's a kind of a feeling when you are for example in a room full of dolls, and suddenly you realize one of them is not a doll, but a real being just camuflauged into a doll, it's just that this feeling came gradual and lasted for a few seconds followed by a louder and louder sound, untill it finaly woke me up.

I had this dream where I was staring at my bio-pop (biological father) whome I haven't seen in ... um ... 23 years. I said something like "it's all your fault!" while the picture of him was getting brighter and brighter. It almost mimiced waking reality when I finally woke up.
Scarry.

the buzzing oscillation sounds familiar I associate it with change of state of mind or onset of mechanical joy (jhana or drug induced) which would be the result of fixed attention. things becoming clearer also goes with fixed attention or interest. layers of perception being sustained as new ones come in.
I would be happy having had a dream that moved like that that moved into higher and higher clarity and intensity.
even if it did scare me - it is kind of cool.

Oh, no that wasn't a pleasant buzz at all, it was like a sick buzz, like electric buzz suggesting more and more tension of some sort.

oh man, scary realistic dreams are scary. one time a buddy and I were on mushrooms walking around and we came in late and were hanging out in the living room. my girlfriend (who I lived with) came in, blinking and shocked-looking, and seemed relieved to see I was really there. she told us of the dream she'd just had, wherein all this trippy stuff with UFOs and babysitting weird creepy kids, normal wacky dream-type stuff, then all of a sudden it started getting more realistic, and there was a ripping sensation, as if she was pulled out of the dream from behind. a man was facing her, he told her that he was her real boyfriend, and that she should not go to work the next day, and gave her a kiss, and said he'd see her soon. then she woke up, and I wasn't in bed with her, and she wondered who was real.
am I the real boyfriend, or is this guy? she didn't go to work that night, called in sick as I remember. and that night, her work exploded! no, just kidding, nothing happened

I know it's like rough trade - like a short circuit.
the term joy is not the same as pleasure, it refers to energy arizing apparently spontaneously.
I am using the term "joy" like they use it in yoga or meditation, the energy arizes and you know it is related to the centering. you accept it and let it pass, you release it.
often the body shakes there can be sounds (both pleasant or wicked - phenomena just the same) there can be lights. some indicate other aspects like siddhi (floating and majick - are supposedly related to this same energy - I think also you can blow a gasket if you are too into it. ministrokes etc.)

Could be something far less spiritual, like sleep paralisis or something, I mean the buzzing and the dream anomalies. And now that you mention it, once, about a year ago I experienced my body shaking and some kind of deep ear membrane shaking sound while falling to sleep, it was so unusual and strange that I started to panic and woke up instantly, but I think it is some kind of sleep disorder since the symptoms go into the favour of that.
