Psycho-kinesis. The ability to...

Does anyone really know what psycho-kinesis stands for? Would it not be someone who starts to play with someones emotions. Would it not also be someone who is actually pulling out those emotions, like a psychiatrist.

What is your definition of psycho-kinesis. Have you ever performed any psycho-kinesis.

In Dungeons and Dragons, there is a type of psionicist called a "nomad" who used psychokenesis (dexterity based) powers. These powers are good at transporting things around, moving rapidly through the astral plane or teleporting, and teleporting chunks of your enemies into the void.

I think it means moving physical objects by the power of the mind (with physical objects I mean other than your own body). Personally I don't believe in it.

Old philosophers like Descartes etc philosophizd about the mind-body problem: how can something that is untouchable (not made of a substance, has no weight and takes no place in space) move something that is made of a substance (your body). They then still believed in a seperate mind that is unattached to the body. but they didn't call this psyco-kinesis I think :tongue:

Droz, I know you're probably going to dismiss what I say here, but you really need to listen to your psychiatrist.

While it may seem like he's toying with you and your emotions, he's really working at helping you. You posted in the past admitting that you were having problems and were sometimes saying things you didn't really mean.

The part of you that says things you don't mean seems to be taking over. I can only imagine that your friends and family must be incredibly worried about you.

Please, for the sake of your friends and family, listen to your psychiatrist.

it is just the ability to move objects without physical means.
you are talking about mind games with no special psychic gift involved except second guessing or doubting.
switch channels or take a holiday.

I think there's really a lot more than meets the eye in these sort of things. What do you think of Uri Geller, the guy that could bend spoons and I imagine lots of other things...?

In this book I read about astral projection, written by a guy who did practically everything you could possibly conceive of experimenting with while in the out of body state, he talked about who he'd try over and over again to manipulate the physical world...by picking something up...pushing something, etc...and he could never do it. BUT, when in a conscious dream-state, he found that he COULD do it, and what's weirder...he seemed to be a bit ahead in time whilst doing it. He tested it by attempting to make a clock go off while sleeping...and when he'd do it...he'd wake up, and the clock would go off a few seconds later. Got the same kind of results everytime.

Also,when traveling around in the astral body, he'd frequent friends' houses and whatnot, and people would never be the least bit aware of his existance. But when in the lucid dream state, if he DREAMT of going to their house, they could most certainly see his form, and his friend would freak, thinking it was his GHOST. Weird stuff.

The book's called "The Projection of the Astral Body" just in case anyone's interested.

i believe technically telekinesis you need to see what you're controlling (hence tele- prefix) and psychokinesis you just think about something.
