cut or pinch off shrooms?

when the fruited shrooms are mature, should i pinch off the stems, pull them out of the cake, or cut them with a knife? which is less damaging to the mycelium? also, anyone have an opinion on what a potent but also fairly easy to grow strain is? something that can use the cubensis setup and is potent but not hard as hell to cultivate like azures? thanks guys

are you looking for a potent strain of cubensis or a different specie that can be grown like a cubensis?

Twist your shrooms out of the cake. If you cut or pinch them off you leave behind a stump which may rot and introduce contams into your cake/casing. About "potent but easy" strains, I've had the Pan cyans recommended to me as being very potent and not too much harder to grow than P. cubensis. Check out ralphster's Panaeolus tek in the Grow/Find section.

yup... rip em out at the base, bringing a little casing material with it is fine... you don't want rotting stumps left in ur casing!
