I've have a cat who is about 11 years old.  My wife got this cat for me 9 years ago from a shelter.  She specifically asked for a female cat.  They said "Heres a 2 year old female and shes already been fixed."  OK says the wife and brings her home.

So now I've had this cat for almost a decade.  This cat has been to the vet many times for various things.  And when I got my second cat (an orphaned kitten who hadn't been weaned) this first cat even let the new kitten 'nurse' on it for the first couple of months (kinda acted as a replacement mother for the new kitten, even though it had no milk to give).

So today I had to take this cat to the vet again (routine shit).  The vet (who has seen this cat once before) takes it in the back room and comes back 5 minutes later with a puzzled look.  He says, "You might like to know...this cat is a male!"

WTF :eek:

The vet proceeds to tell me that its not all that uncommon for a case of mistaken sexual identity to happen with male cats after they've been fixed.  Unless you are specifically looking at those parts and paying attention it just not something you notice right off.  And its not like I really ever took the time to inspect my cat closely.  I would've noticed if there had ever been a visible penis or anything like that, but there never has.

So it turns out that the cat that my wife refers to as "daddys girl" is in fact "daddys boy".

I feel so confused!  I won't ever be able to stop referring to her (him :confused:) in female terms!

Rofl? That's wierd. I really wouldn't know how to react if I found out my cat was a guy.
