you know the tree of life
is a chakkra system too,
the energy whorls can bee seen in anything, but many schools of
mystery and spirit used chakkras for codification and for concentration, i.e. learning and progress.

the way i learned it chakras represent levels of human conciousness.




root chakra: survival instinct, safety vs. danger

groin chakra: sexual drive, preferances? (not sure about that one)

abdominal chakra: personal power

heart chakra: love

throat chakra: symbolic thinking

third eye: psychic vision

crown: unity with god/ god conciousness

thats a massive simplification

I realize these questions cannot easily be answered, there can only be guesses. But if you feel your guess might be the answer, go ahead!


Chakra theories differ markedly from Hindu to Tibetan Buddhist Tantras, but aside from an occult level of understanding, they comprise a meta-theory - a theory-of-theories about motivation. Chakras may have physiological correlates, but on a psychological level they represent a handful of essential motives, and after an experience of Unitive Consciousness, they become vehicles of Enlightened Mind instead of remaining merely as centers of motivation. Lama Anagarika Govinda's book Foundations of Tibetan Buddhism is THE definitive book on the comparison of Hindu and Buddhist chakra systems, and how they come to be centers where cosmic foces interphase with human psychological motives.

In a sense, humans are 'Centauric,' insofar as our first 3 chakra natural motives are self-preservation, preservation of the species, and social power and status. We have these motives in common with other non-human mammals. And even though it appears that non-humans show love and affection, we do not have to surmise about humans. Healthy humans embody motives of compasion, communication, insight and uniification that we simply cannot know for sure are components of non-human mammals. Clearly they have feelings and communication, but to what extent is unknown. They do not appear to create written language, although some animals collect objects or create 'art,' and there is the famous octopus's garden.
