dear god u people trip me out. why in the world would u ever watch a movie that is even remotely scary?? when u see scary shit when ur trippin dont u make tons of irrational connections and get scared urself?? at least i do. i would MUCH rather laugh or think than watch something intense weird or scary. music videos are PRIME -- especially pink floyds'.

Got to agree with James and the Giant Peach. I also try and keep away from anything scary, overly violent, etc. Didn't have a very good time With Fear and Loathing and I don't even want to think about Natural Born Killers.
There's a film I highly recommend checking out called Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, with Gary Oldman, Tim Roth and Richard Dreyfuss. It's not exactly "trippy" in the visual sense, but it just seemed to fit in perfectly with the whole experience to me. Excellent to watch during the comedown once you start to get a bit of coherence back.

dont do it, the producers of this movie intentionally made the lighting odd to make you feel paranoid and uneasy, not good for tripping, but it is still a classic.

ghost in the shell stand alone complex vols. 1-4 and i highly recommend that you get the english dub rather than the subtitles! fantastic job all around and solid hard s/f to boot.
