Salvia question

Hi all, where could I find some info on Salvia. Info such as what it does to you, is it addictive, do you develop a tolerance to it as fast as you do with shrooms, growing time... stuff like that.
I have yet to try any type of hallucinogenic drug, but plan to grow somes shrooms soon. I've read that the human body can develop a tolerance to shrooms quickly. I'm very positive that I will love to psychodelic experience, so I'm trying to find something to fill in with while I'm not using shrooms. I plan to stay away from LSD though after hearing that it causes chromosome damage. Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated =)

where could I find some info on Salvia The best salvia site was located at http://salvia.lycaeum.org, but the lycaeum are currently having problems with their connection, so the site is down. Have a bit of a search around the web though as I believe there is a mirror. Try searching for salvia and Daniel Siebert, as it was his site.
what it does to you That's a bit question, which I think would be better answered by searching the web. Basically it's a disociative psychedelic (More along the lines of Ketamine and DXM than Mushrooms or Acid), but not really too muc liek them either :). Hunt out some trip reports for descriptions of peoples experiences.
is it addictive No.
do you develop a tolerance to it as fast as you do with shrooms No. Salvia seems to have an anti-tollerance effect, in that the first few times you use it, more than likely you won't get past about level 2/3, but the more you use it the easier it will be to rteach the higher levels.
I plan to stay away from LSD though after hearing that it causes chromosome damage That's a lie. LSD is one fo the least damaging drugs there is.

if you have the right conditions, then good luck stopping it taking over. If it's too bright, too dry, too hot, too alkaline etc then good luck keeping it alive. Basically it's fussy, but once you've got the conditions right you'l have no problems

Salvia is a disociative? Does anybody have facts to back this up? I hadn't heard that before.

I've been growing Salvia for a bit over a year and have a pretty large outside Salvia garden of various strains, yet I've never used it to get high either. I also routinely grow a pretty nice multi strain Cannabis garden every year, (Completely legal with permits, of course) yet I never use the finished harvest accept on a very rare occasion if I wanna trip out watching a movie.
I might have mistaken your meaning if you meant shroom tripping, but I've had about the same amount of time growing shrooms with many many flushes and harvest and even then I've only eaten them once from my harvests. To me it's just the growing of these wonderful plants and sopores that interests me the most. I love to go out in my Cannabis garden and smell the beauty. I treat all my plants like baby's.
I find as I get older my body can't handle the intake of most Ethno's.
And for the question on whether Salvia is harmful or addicting. I don't believe there have been ANY tests or studies to prove this true. The only place I have ever heard someone floating this idea was a grieving mother who's kid committed suicide. She found out he had taken Salvia sometime in his past and immediately used Salvia as the scapegoat for the suicide. It's ridiculous. She has now started a crusade against the plant, and the sad thing about it is that the politicians are listening and using her to speak at Ban Salvia meetings when attempting to gather support for legislation against it.
Anyway you have no worry of Salvia being harmful. Sorry for my rambling reply.
