Little, iddy biddy mushrooms growing on leaves. Please identify *PICS*

I've seen these before but wasn't sure if they were even mushrooms. Walked out this morning to find them again at my front door in the flower bed and I decided to take a closer look.

They all seem to be growing directly from the leaves. No mycellium visible. Underside looks nearly white with clearly visible gills.

BTW, I know they aren't active and if they were it would take a helluva lot of them to do anything. I am just curious as to know what they are. I've never seen a mushroom so small.

I'm gonna disagree with you a little on this one, DH. I'd guess those are Marasmius, close to Marasmius siccus (although Marasmius and Mycena are pretty close to each other). M. siccus is an incredibly common mushroom in late summer and fall.

Happy mushrooming!

Perhaps magical isn't the right adjective for that sentence

Those mushrooms are not active.

Too bad, one could've eaten them right off the leaf... maybe even had a little mixed green mushroom salad.
