any martial artists out there

just wondering if there where any martial artist in the shroomery. if so what martial art do you practice or martial arts. also how long have you been training for? have you been in any competition? i have been training in mauy thai for 3 years. i have fought in two fights and have won both. plan to fight in more very soon. thanks

Judoka here. Trained for 3 years. Have not competed in anything but class randori and joint workouts with Clemson University's judo team and Several local schools. Got to fight a guy who came in 2nd or 3rd in Paris (like the Super Bowl for judo). It was great, I outweighed him by god knows how much and got my ass handed to me easily.

The only arts I know of that could be harder on your body are muay thai or kyokushin.

Cool thread. Bet nobody else on here knows what a teep, te, or plum is, lol.

Im a semi-active crappy boxer. I spar with my friends trying to work up some technique ive bee to a few brazillian jiu-jitsu classes but the gyms i went to it was all about beating up the new guy so that didnt last. Right now im kinda tentative about joining a boxing gym full time dont really have the money or time to spend on it. Hopefully when im lessed crunched at school i become more dedicated and really get some skills so i can whup my friends asses even harder.

go to a ghetto inner-city boxing gym. they are usually really cheap and have the best training.

Karate (shotokan) 4 years as a teenager but recently got a set of nunchaku I get shown a few things by friends and find clips on the net also slow bruce lee films down I love them and train mabe an hour a day.
definately reccomend people to get a training pair.

Taekwondo only two years when I was younger. I still know all the techniques I learned, I just don't practice them anymore.

I only made it to green belt and was close to blue but quit because of being 14 and immature. Maybe I'll go back now that I'm older and intrigued by the self-discipline some of these people display. (For us it was white, yellow, green, blue, brown?, then black 1 - 7)
