Does anyone have any suggestions on a mushroom extraction technique? And also would it be practicle to mix the extract with an mao inhibiter and ingest in gel capsules? Just a thought I've been pondering on.

well what I've been doing is a psilocybin extraction from mycelium. Cranberry juice and vitamin c powder. Works wonderfully.

WEll you can extract the psilocin with methanol, but let me make you aware that the timing of the co0nsumption is how the high is created.
The Mazatec Indians and 6 other tribal groups living high in the Sierra Mazateca montane regioon of Oaxaca take up to twenty minust or more to consume their dosage. This allows compleat absorption of the chemical in waves prepariong your body and central nervous system for the gift it is about to receive.
Drinking them in a tea or capsule is an intense comeo on compared to the liftoff of a saturn rocket on the launch pad.
This is not what the experience is all about.
There is a reason why they consume those mushrooms ion a slow turn and the members of the natice american church who use pyeotl also take a half an hor to forty five minutes to consume the buttons so that the comeon is gradual and smototh and that is the way the shrooms are consumed for their full benifit.
Not the slam bam thank you mam instant take off of the shrooms.. In a way that is abuse and when that begins to happen then the law enforcement comes down on all who do it.
I was doing ecsacy twenty years before anyone knew about it and it was cool. Now its all shit vibes and bad karma in the creepy israels who mass manufacture pills which are either too strong for one person or two weak for two people to enjoy. When these compiounds came out they were very inexpensive and most people gave away their doses, like many people who share their shrooms.
Do not ruin the concept of the most sacred of plants by extracting chemicals out if it. Right now it is still the number one saacred plant of choice next to Cannabis in America and much of the world.
Chemicals get people in trouble. real trouble. Just remember that.

Didn't mean to preach but I knw many people would like to extract. Why do you think there is no market for the purte chemical.
Even the pills made by Sandoz in the late 1950s were only 2 and 5 milligrams each. Even Maria Sabina had to eat close to ten of tthe small pills to even get close to where she did on the shrooms and she still ate them two at a time over a half an hour.

Yes that's a damn good post, you just convinced me to keep my mushrooms in there natural form. Thanks for the feedback it's always good to get the view point of someone else.

Ok well there an opinion.
I don't think one that would extract would be worried about a viable market.
It just sounds like fun.
As far as the consumption I don't think it matters how fast you consume. But that's just me. Another opinion.
