[PSILOCYBIN EXTRACT] Doses and Prices

I have the opportunity to purchase extract and im wondering if 20 bucks for .2 grams sounds about right?

from what ive read .02 grams is a "heavy dose" (erowid). And the best way to take the extract seems to be orally or smoked.

What are your thoughts?

Don't smoke your shrooms! And if they are dried $20 for 2 grams is about avg price for that small of an amount. Normal prices range 20-45 an 1/8 of dried.

Haven't heard of extracting into decimals, but thats just me.

I know about mushrooms dried and wet, but the extract i dont have experience with, so im asking people who may have.

Hmm. Be careful, make sure you know your source. Sounds like a scam or RC, but what do I know. Any more details on this extract? What form it's in, etc.

Why not smoke the psilocybin extract? Psilocybin wont be destroyed by the heat. Psilocin on the other hand will. Anyway, the reason you don't smoke the fruitbody is because you would need to smoke a large amount of matter to be able to get noticable effects. However, if you have extract, you can smoke a couple mg very quickly, and therefore get some good effects.

Oh, and Gallium, I agree, sounds like an RC. 200mg would be about the amount of psilocybin you'd find in 50g dry cubensis. Do you really think somebody is gonna sell 200mg extract for $20. Especially since they need more supplies and need to do more work to get the extract. Sounds like somebody is trying to sell you some RC. It does happen. A certain website sells 4-ho-dipt as psilocybin, even though psilocybin is 4-ho-dmt. You might wanna mix a small amount in a bit of water and wait to see if it ever turns blue. Just a thought.

Psilocybin is destroyed by heat.

Also it probably isn't psilocybin extract, there's almost a 0% chance that it is. So it's almost definitely a research chemical.

Well thanks for the attitude.

I give new members shit on my forum too (www.tribalwar.com). I am not an idiot, and because I have never dealt with extract I tapped a source ( a bunch of mush heads).

As it stands im going to talk to the dealer about what he thinks it is, backed with the information that I've gathered here.

If you're talking about Dark_Raider's post.. to me it seemed like he was just plain incorrect, not trying to joke with you about the blue water thing. I'm not sure where he got any false information like that, but I don't think it was meant to insult you.

edit: obviously, I'm slow and now see you were replying to alex123. Don't take it so harshly.. it's not a newbie bashing forum here. Theres just tons of people who are ripped off all the time. Run a search on opium and dragon's blood or LSD and research chemicals. (or black lights :smile: which the blue water thing reminded me of)

No atitude man, I'm just a little puzzled as to why you think someone would go to the trouble and cost of extracting psilocybin from mushrooms and then sell it for $20. He could've just sold the mushrooms for that and saved himself the effort.

I know this is an old post, but I just wanted to report that I have encountered genuine psilocybin extract (From home-grown cubensis mushrooms) that made its way through some other people's hands to my own. Mine was a ball of goo about the consistency of caramel. It tasted almost like fish in a way, and within 15 minutes effects could indefinitely be felt when held under the tongue. The next time around, it was the same type of goo but in a solid form. Slightly lighter brown, and also dissolved right under my tongue.

Great stuff.

Edit - The impurities (leftovers from the mushies in the extract) are what make up the extra weight. 10g dry (Cubensis) made up 1g of extract in the type I encountered.

i know couple sources (vendors) that sell psilocybin extract. From what Ive read it can be freebased not smoked. That whole thing on making it turn blue is just hilarious because the bluing in shrooms is psilocin not psilocybin. i like how he said he wont be a noob but he has like 13 posts and its 3 years old.
