or, maybe you just pissed someone off. This can be done with or without having anything remotely intelligent to say. The anger in someones response does not directly correlate with the intelligence of your statement.

Being a provacateur is not the same as being smart, and pissing off is not the same as contributing in a usefull way.

Ya Hue, the guy you posted the link to. I played all of the samples. Benuven and Hot Type were nice, the rest had a dark or gloomy desolate feel to me. I would get depressed if I played it all day. LOL

Again, I appreciate your exposing me to this type of flaminco cuz I can appreciate it even I don't resonate with it all.

Unpopular positions are OK, sometimes I like to hang upside down by ropes attached to my celing and put my hands behind my ankles while I'm getting rawbuttfucked with a cucumber.

If someone actually gets pissed off by reading words on a screen then let them...the only person who can make me angry is myself. I don't grant others such control over me. If what I say has the power to manipulate your emotions then you need to learn discipline. As for being smart...I'm smart enough...but not too smart.

This is a hard lesson to learn, but one that we all must learn in order to move past having our emotions triggered involuntarily. In order to have true control over our emotions, we must acknowledge that we are the only one responsible for our emotional state. In doing so, we establish the power to control our own emotional state.

It's easy.

Try it sometime.

It's as simple as acknowledging your existance in a state that you don't want to be feeling, and actively CHOOSING to change it.

Example:

I'm having a bad day at work.. I woke up with a headache, got a flat tire on the way to work, ended up 2 hours late so my boss bitched me out... I am PROBABLY in a pretty bad mood about then. However, I can CHOOSE to put the events that happened during the morning behind me and actively pursue a more positive attitude about the rest of my day. The result will be that the rest of my day will go a lot better than the morning did, simply because I've chosen to think positively and attempt to be happy despite the negatives I experienced.

I don't know man.. I can only relate to you what I've experienced personally in this area. From there, it is up to you to figure out how it applies to your own experiences.

You don't really have to "believe" it so much as just be aware of your own abilities.

It's like... if you have long hair, and you want short hair, you don't have to believe anything.. you just have to be aware of the fact that you can take a pair of scissors and cut off your hair.

Well, I would also call into question your own way of perceiving others emotions over this forum. Not too long ago, you accused me of having hate-based modes of thought, making judgemental, hate-based conclusions, having ill content, and not being able to read very well. :lol: You thought a reply to your post was directed at you, and that what I said confused what you said might happen and what you actually thought should happen, when my reply to your post was focused entirely on the idea of someone attempting what you thought might happen.

Even then, I wasn't even making hate-based judgements or showing ill intent... I replied to you again in that thread, I don't know if you got a chance to read it as it drifted into the depths, but I clarified exactly what I was meaning....

Another thing to consider is that other people might be playing roles that do not actually represent their true thoughts and ideas as well, just as you have admitted to doing - playing devil's advocate, taking other sides for the sake of stirring up thought, etc. You are right - if anyone actually is allowing themself to get angry over words exchanged here, then they have their problems... but often, it is hard to actually know if they are truly angry...

Good post, man. :thumbup: I especially enjoyed the parts concerning dissonance and resonance. I would like to add that everything resonates together at different frequencies. The dissonance, resonance relationship is merely one produced by the mind (the same with "chaos" and "order"), with its idea of what goes well together and what does not. Metal, especially black metal, embraces the note relationships usually labeled "dissonant", and to someone who is familiar with this, it doesn't strike them as being "wrong", or out of resonance... it just is... :grin:
