I cant make myself eat shrooms anymore :(

Ever since I ate some contaminated shrooms in Jamaica my body just wont allow me to eat shrooms. Period. I almost died and that's no exaggeration. It was the worst experience of my life.
I had a fever, hot flashes, chills, vomiting, diarrhea, seizure, rash, swollen tongue, itchy throat, muscle cramps, sweating, shaking, migraine and just plain hellish misery for 3 days. I spent 2 of it in the resort clinic.
The last time I attempted shrooming was about a year ago and I tried capsules, food, and tea and then I start to gag, choke then vomit. Cant keep it down long enough to trip.
I miss them SO much.
I think I may be ready for another but I am so jaded..
Anyone ever get like this? What did you do to get over it?
I figured I would just stick to cactus for now on..but its just not the same I miss them.... I miss the mindfuck. The visuals. The silly thoughts and stupor.
I want shrooms again grrr!

Like extract it into alcohol then drink it? Or extract it then dry the alcohol and scrape up the residue?

If you like chilli, try a strong chilli dip. It
confusses your taste into excepting the shrooms.

The problem is I know I am eating shrooms...its psychological as well as a physical response. My body screams NOOO don't make me go through that again.
I tried capsules.
I was thinking I may be less jaded after so long though.
I also considered making a few batches of food like chili for example but only having 1 batch with the shrooms in it. Then its kinda like Russian roulette....

My husband was in your boat for awhile.  He simply could not force himself to eat shrooms without gagging.  (the taste nauseated him big time.) 

Me on the other hand, I am able to force myself to eat practically anything if I have to. 

Right now, me and hubby are using capsules and they've been a lifesavor (or shroomsavor, ha) for him. 

Everyone else had great suggestions.

Instead of thinking "Oh man, there's no way that I can eat them," why don't you start believing that "Damn it, I'm gonna eat those things and they're gonna stay eaten," and then just DO it.  Believe in yourself, stop thinking negative about it.  It sounds like you psyche yourself out.  Well, that can be changed if you get determined, set your jaw, flex a muscle and do it.  It's not as bad as your mind is making it out to be.  :smile:

i enjoy mushroom tea.  I add one of those single serve honey+something another tea packets, dip it in the mushroom tea for 5 minutes then drink up.  I also add sugar,  the tea looks gross but it tastes good! :smile:

I am going to DO IT! GRRR
No little mushroom is going to defeat me!
I have about 6 weeks to get ready for it anyway.
I can drink cactus tea and thats nasty shit....some shrooms is no big deal!

yeah extract into alcohol and then drink it. put powdered dried shrooms in high proof drinking alcohol and after a while filter the pieces of shroom out. now you can just take shots

Yeah the old "body screaming no" thing is a bit of a bitch,
but its just mind over matter. Tell yourself its fine, and
eventualy you can convince yourself it is.

chilli does help too.

Sounds like a mental thing, not physical. Ive read of stories of people who build up mental adversions to certain things because of bad experiences, sex, drugs, etc. My advice is to just keep trying small bits until youre psyche is willing again... no matter what you try to do your mind will recognize that youre commiting a behavioral pattern that almost killed you once before, so it will make you sick... Remember Clockwork Orange? he was conditioned to get sick because of violence and sex? You did the same thing to yourself with shrooms man, just take it slow and gradual. :sun:

I agree EllemyshShade, it's definately all psychological!

Regardless of what we are doing, it's not only skill that comes into play on how well we do it, it's our confidence as well.  If you are confident that what you are doing is being done right or above average standards, chances are it is, especially for overachievers (probably almost every shroomery member).

You can do this!  Remember the mushroom experience, envision it, want it, and then eat the damn mushrooms! :cheers:
