Verm only water content

Howdy again folks, I'm by no means new at this, I'm trying to remember the verm/water ratio for a verm only casing. From what I recollect, it was 45cc per cup. I'm wondering if was 45cc per half cup? Someone posted this ratio before but I can't remember who it was. It wasn't just "field saturation". If 45 per cup is used for mixing PF jars, then this saturation wouldn't be enough to sustain growth. I'm thinking it was 45cc per 1/2 cup verm. Someone help me out here...please. Also, is it an inch layer for the bottom? My first verm only casing was stupendous, but it's was about 6 months ago. My brain cells can't remember that far back. Thanks in advance for the replies. Hello Bullfrog, I cannot remember that ratio either, but it works well when you squeeze out all the water in the verm until it barely drips. Thats how my friend judges hers. And the bottom casing layer can really be any depth, or no bottom casing layer at all. Either way works well.

Thanks Blue, Now that I've thought about it some more, 45 per cup would be to dry. I did 45 per 1/2 with the finer verm (Shultz) I recall using 45 per cup and thinking it was too dry. All worked well. I'll never 50/50 again. Much greater yield with just the verm. I'll let you know how it turns out. I think it was the person who put together the "Casing for Dummies" procedure.
